"Nice practical hotel for overnight"

1 night Arrived 15 Sep 2016
"We arrived late and left fairly early so did not need anything fancy. The Eka hotel is a modern business hotel which suited us perfectly, The room was a good size, clean, with a nice shower and separate WC. Bed was comfortable and the aircon worked well. B

reakfast was good but not outstanding. Would have preferred self-serve coffee as the service was a bit slow and everything else was self serve. Security was good and obvious. Location was good to get to Nairobi Wilson airport.

Would recommend for anyone arriving at Jomo Kenyatta and leaving from Wilson or vice versa." See all these reviews: 16n in Tanzania; 4n in Kenya

"Eka Hotel Review"

1 night Arrived 15 Aug 2016
"The traffic noise in the rooms rooms facing the motorway is too noisy. The the hotel lies on part of the main road from Mombassa to Uganda. The sound of heavy traffic continues throughout the night. When I checked in I asked for a quiet room. When I went to the room I was concerned by the noise of the traffic. I telephoned reception to ask for a room change. No other room was available." "Eka hotel"

3 nights Arrived 14 Aug 2016
"Close to airport and off the highway. Easy access to head out to the Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Sanctuary, Karen Blixen Museum and stop at Talisman restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner. No reservations needed. The hotel will charge $150 round trip for a taxi driver for the day. You can get a private driver on your own for $90US dollars to do the same thing. Nairobi is not easy to navigate and is not walkable, you would need a driver/gruide to do this. The hotel is mainly business travelers. The rooms are quiet, secure and a nice outdoor pool and sitting area to relax. Dinner is buffet and expect hotel prices. FYI-There is nothing close for other food choices, so you are locked into the hotel. If you need to shop for something at a shopping mall, do not go to the closest mall, it is not a complete mall and ask to be taken to WEstgate. The hotel has a shuttle service band charges a fee. It is resonable and safe." See all these reviews: 9n in Tanzania; 9n in Rwanda; 3n in Kenya; 1n in South Africa
