It's a nice place to arrive at the start of the trip, and to get situated before embarking. There's a couple nice restaurants, one across the street and the other on-site.
The Butcher Block is not actually affiliated with the hotel, so make sure you take some form of payment (we tried to charge to the room and then had to go back to get a credit card, lol). The breakfast was excellent, including the option of eggs benedict!
We had our rental car already, and so just drove into town to tourist on our own. The hotel does try to sell a tour of the city which is rather pricy imo. If you're coming through Expert Africa you're likely an independent enough traveler that you don't need a fully-organized trip.
Overall we really liked the Weinberg. We stayed a different hotel at the end of the trip, just for variety, however prefered the Weinberg" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 1n in South Africa
"Weinberg Hotel review Great first night stop"
The pool seems to be free to hotel guests currently which was a bonus as it was very hot. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Butcher's Block which is part of the hotel complex. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the courtyard and there was a very good choice from the cold buffet and hot food made to order. The service was friendly and professional.
We only stayed one night so didn't leave the hotel but location seems reasonably close to the centre of Windhoek." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

It is a smart and very comfortable hotel with secure parking, a nice pool, comfortable quiet rooms and a good choice of restaurants. It is located on the airport side of Windhoek in a smart suburb so you need to take a short taxi if you wish to visit the centre.
It was a good stay although at times the staff were a bit less helpful than you would expect from a luxury hotel (e.g we were trying to be reunited with a lost iPad - Damaraland Camp had made great efforts to try to get it to us in Windhoek but the staff at Weinberg showed little interest in helping us get it back). Despite that it was still a good choice for a one night stay." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe

Our room was huge and beautiful, the restaurant food was very good, and everyone was very helpful.
We didn't stay long, but we did eat in the restaurant and make use of the small exercise room. That room was fine, but not excellent, which was the reason I didn't give the hotel full marks for facilities." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

The hotel restaurant (I had my evening meal there) could be more varied." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia
