"Galton House review"

1 night Arrived 27 Feb 2017
"We had some difficulty finding Galton House - more detailed instruction would have been useful!

A very nicely designed, relaxed place- but our room ( No 6 ) was very small and noisy. (A generator all night next door- and power showers at 6am in next room!)

Super swimming pool for a small place- much appreciated.

Very helpful manager. Nice sitting-around area...

Good for one night." See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia

"Very stylish and comfortable boutique guest house.

Lovely ensuite rooms, refreshing pool, delicious locally sourced food, including a freshly-baked cake for afternoon tea.....& a good packed breakfast (ready at 4.30a.m) for our very early departure to the airport" See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 8n in Botswana; 1n in Zimbabwe

"Comfortable stay at Galton House"

1 night Arrived 10 Oct 2016
"Friendly welcome from Helen. Shown to the elegantly decorated room 5, which suffers a little from a rather small bathroom. We enjoyed a couple of beers by the pool.

Helen arranged a taxi to take us to the excellent Joe's Beerhouse (thoroughly recommended). Good breakfast.

No problem for Helen to give us directions to find the route south out of Windhoek." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Comfortable place for a night in Windhoek"

1 night Arrived 6 Oct 2016
"This is a smart house to stay at before flying out of Windhoek in a quiet residential area. The meals are effectively served in an open plan kitchen/dining area. Breakfast was fine but we didn't feel there was any atmosphere so ate out in Windhoek, at the well known Joes Beerhouse.

The room was quite small but well appointed and very comfortable.

The manager, Eddie, was very attentive and runs the place well." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia

"Excellent but rooms variable"

1 night Arrived 16 Sep 2016
"We stayed at Galton House for one night on our way north and one night on the way back. Each time Helen and all the kitchen staff were delightful.

The furnishing was most attractive - modern and clean-looking, and breakfast and dinner were good.

The first time we had a large room with a large bathroom, so we were disappointed on our return to have Room 5, a small room with a poky bathroom, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia; 4n in South Africa

"Easy to find and a good stopover for our first night in Namibia. Helpful staff, good food. We ate in the guest house.

If you wanted to eat in Windhoek, you would need to take a taxi, as it was on the outskirts of the town." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 1n in Zimbabwe
