"Galton House review"

1 night Arrived 16 Sep 2013
"This is a lovely guest house with helpful staff. We arrived in the evening for a one-night stay and they went out of their way to provide a good dinner and take care of our laundry. That said, the meal was expensive by Namibian standards." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia; 6n in Botswana; 1n in South Africa

"A very good first stop for one night. We were going into Windhoek for a meal but felt tired after the flight so had dinner at Galton House.

We were pleased we did as the meal was excellent and very reasonable." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

"Galton House review"

1 night Arrived 27 Dec 2012
"Long drive to Windhoek using the Spreeghoote Pass, no problem for the Toyota.

First impressions of Galton House, situated in a quiet area of Windhoek, is of a modern design on a old house after being madeover. No real outside area apart from the pool.O ur room was though, very spacious and comfortable. Our evening meal was adequate but very small portions for the price.

Unfortunately, although the manager was friendly enough, this place does lack any kind of atmosphere. OK for our last stop and a chance to visit Windhoek next morning. Sad to find the Zoo Cafe now gone and also the Old Brewery with its arts and crafts centre." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
