"Pleasant option in Windhoek"

1 night Arrived 18 Sep 2014
"This is a pleasant, somewhat sterile but functional b&b located out of town in the residential Eros district (nowhere near Eros Airport, rather confusingly). The rooms are quite basic, but the shower is good, there’s lot of hot water, and the bed is comfortable. The pool is small.

There is an open kitchen/dining area, where it’s not clear whether you help yourself to tea and coffee, or beers from the fridge, or wander around looking for service. Breakfast was delicious, although service was painfully slow (45 minutes).

You can also take dinner here, which is nice, with a range of decent, well-priced wines, and avoid the hassle of taxis into town and back. Staff are all very friendly." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

We travelled with a baby and on arrival there was a baby cot ready with some toys in it. We felt this was a nice touch." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Galton House"

1 night Arrived 2 Aug 2014
"A great start to the holiday, the map was very clear and we found the property very easily from the airport. It is on the outskirts of town so if you wanted a short walk to the centre of town this is not the place for you. The rooms were spacious with a lovely wet room which gave a luxurious feel to the room.

The reception was very friendly and we quickly relaxed for our overnight stay.

The food was very good and effort was made to suit a number of our party who do not eat meat.

Nice reception room with plenty of space, Galton House has a modern feel but has enough traditional décor to make it feel more than a newly decorated hotel.
I will mention that the staff were really helpful when I managed to cut open my hand on the car lock which had jammed. The first aid kit was brought out with minimum fuss, my pride was a little more hurt than my hand." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Galton House review"

1 night Arrived 27 Jul 2014
"Very easy to find. Very welcoming. Staff helpful. Food good. Room good.

Only downside (compared to the rest of the places we stayed) was that there was no view from the room or the lounge/dining area, though I imagine this may be the same in all the places in Windhoek." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
