First Trip To Africa
Namibia between 3 Oct 2016 and 17 Oct 2016
Truly the trip of a lifetime that we will never forget - it has definitely made us want to visit Afica again in the future. We never felt uncomfortable in any way whist we were travelling and luckily did not experience any problems with the car - I wasn't looking forward to having to change a wheel by the side of the road in those temperatures!
Expert Africa arranged a great itinerary for us which we wouldn't have changed at all in retrospect, Also many thanks for the detailed replies to all our questions and queries before we left."

Galton House
"Galton House was a good Windhoek choice"

Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
"Sossusvlei Desert Lodge was fantastic"
Welcoming friendly staff and our safari guide was excellent.
The location is superb and we really enjoyed all the activities, especially the balloon trip!
The only negative was that there was no longer an astronomer in residence so we couldn't learn more about the amazing night sky!"

Cornerstone Guesthouse
"Cornerstone Guesthouse was comfortable"
Just no 'wow factor' when compared to the other places we stayed in Namibia."

Doro Nawas
"Doro Nawas was different (in a good way!)"
Lovely location in beautiful Damaraland, with an excellent safari guide for the desert elephant excursion.
We really enjoyed the bush supper on our 2nd night."

Ongava Lodge
"Ongava Lodge had the best wildlife"
Lovely to sit out and watch the comings and goings at the waterhole - virtually non-stop entertainment!
Game drive on the Ongava reserve was excellent with an extended close up view of lions. The rhino trek on foot the following day wasn't as successful but you cant win them all!
The drive into Etosha was wonderful - an absolutely amazing, unmissable place!"

Mushara Bush Camp
"Mushara Bush Camp was luxurious"
An excellent early morning game drive into Etosha with a very knowledgeable guide was the highlight.
It had become extremely hot (40C+) by this time and we were very grateful for the air conditioning in our tent - too hot to sit out by the pool in the afternoon"

Ondudu Safari Lodge
"Erongo was a good way to finish"
Superb location with the tented chalets well spread out - ours had a lovely view.
It was very hot (40C+) whilst we were there so it was a time to relax rather than do some of the walks on offer - although I did do an early morning guided walk which was wonderful."
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a very spacious room by the pool and a very pleasant meal in the evening. Overall we were very pleased."
