Leopard Safari

Victoria Falls, Botswana and Cape Town – a classic southern African itinerary combining luxury, wilderness, safari and culture. We can't think of a better way to spend two weeks.

Leopard Safari: Summary

Leopard Safari in a nutshell

Beginning your trip in Zimbabwe your first stop is in the Zambezi National Park. Overlooking the mighty Zambezi River, Old Drift Lodge offers wildlife watching and boat trips including fishing. However, the real highlight of a stay here is visiting the eponymous Victoria Falls, just 45 minutes away. When you aren't busy on activities the lodge is also a fabulous place to relax and soak in your spectacular surroundings.

Leaving Victoria Falls you cross into Botswana by vehicle before a short-light aircraft hop into the Savute area of Chobe National Park, followed by three nights in the Okavango Delta. Both camps are small and intimate with superb food, high levels of service and fairly simple but very comfortable tents. These locations are known for their variety of wildlife and a combination of the two camps should deliver top-quality viewing of Botswana’s most iconic species.

Finally, the safari section of your trip over, it is time for a change of pace as you head to Cape Town. This buzzing city is bursting with culture, history, excellent restaurants and superb wine; where better to relax and unwind after your safari?

Old Drift Lodge

Days 1-4

On the banks of the Zambezi River, the stylish Old Drift Lodge lies 7km upstream of the Victoria Falls. It was opened in mid-May 2018, and is one of a handful of camps within Zimbabwe's Zambezi National Park, with regular visits from elephants to the lodge, especially later into the dry season.

Savute Under Canvas

Days 4-7

Savute Under Canvas offers an authentic mobile-camping experience, without forgoing many of the comforts of a semi-permanent tented camp. The camp utilises a number of different private campsites in the Savuti area of Botswana’s Chobe National Park, moving every five days in accordance with national-park regulations.

Gomoti Plains Camp

Days 7-10

Overlooking a tributary of the Gomoti River, the classic Gomoti Plains Camp is in a beautiful location. It was opened in April 2017 in a private, community-run concession (NG32) in the south-east of Botswana's Okavango Delta. Surrounded by riverine forest with tall, elegant fan palms, leadwoods and knobthorn trees, it offers a good diversity of wildlife.

Cape Grace

Days 10-14

The Cape Grace is set right in the heart of Cape Town's Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, on its very own quay. It's an ideal location if you want to be very close to the shops, restaurants and nightlife to be found in this area.
