Large-spotted Genet in a nutshell
This nine-night luxury safari focuses on the Okavango Delta and Linyanti–Savuti, two of the very best wildlife areas in Botswana. The trip is split equally between three excellent camps – Splash Camp and Chitabe Lediba which are in the Delta, and Savuti Camp.
This safari will give you ample chance to spot the larger predators with cheetah, wild dog, lion and leopard occurring in good numbers here, along with a thriving elephant population, giraffe, hippo and all manner of antelope species.
The superb wildlife viewing is complemented by some of the best guiding in Botswana. In the Delta, the focus will be on game drives and taking to its lagoons and channels by boat and mokoro canoe. Savuti Camp is in a private reserve which means you can explore on night drives and walking safaris.
Fly between camps on light aircraft for an incredibly scenic bird’s eye view of the landscapes and landforms down below. The Okavango’s intricate waterways interspersed with palm-dotted islands are best appreciated from the air and larger mammals such as elephants and huge herds of buffalo are also often seen.
