Martial Eagle Safari in a nutshell
After a short light-aircraft flight from Nairobi you will land in the heart of the Maasai Mara. Here you will stay at Rekero, a traditional tented camp with one of the most central locations in the park; during migration season the surrounding plains are teeming with wildebeest. Activities here are all 4WD, with the river being the focus for most game drives. A ford across the Talek River near the camp gives guests outstanding access to the surrounding bush, plains and marshes of both sides of the river.
Bid Kenya a fond farewell and hop across the border to Tanzania, taking a 30-minute flight out of the Mara, a short drive across the border into Tanzania then another short flight into the Serengeti.
Your first three nights in Tanzania will be at Olakira Camp, which moves several times a year in order to be in the best location for the wildebeest migration. You'll then move to the eastern Serengeti for three final nights at the renowned Namiri Plains. Having been closed to the public for many years as it was used exclusively for cheetah research, this area is one of the best locations in the park for big cat sightings.
Finally fly back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey home.
