Jackal Fly-in Safari: Summary
Jackal Safari in a nutshell
This fly-in safari features two flawlessly luxurious camps within southern Tanzania’s Ruaha National Park and Nyerere National Park. Each camp boasts spectacular views from their elevated position atop escarpments and hilltops, rivalling one another with their impressive design, renowned guiding and range of activities.
Beginning at Ruaha’s Ikuka, guests will stay in one of 6 open-sided rooms. These have been designed to optimise phenomenal views of either the sunrise or sunset, which guests can enjoy from the privacy of their own wooden balcony. A short 20-minute drive from the park’s best game-viewing, guests at Ikuka may expect potential lion prides, large herds of elephants and a multitude of birds.
One of the only camps set apart from the Nyerere National Park’s rivers and waterways, Beho Beho offers a more remote safari experience than most. The 7 stone bandas boast private plunge pools, from where guests may observe the local flora and fauna that covers the hillside. Guests may opt for a night in Beho Beho’s lofty treehouse, or if visiting in larger groups, take up residence in the private house known as Bailey’s Banda.
A safari of style and comfort, this trip is also favoured for the superb standard of guiding available throughout. Guests will experience much of the varying landscapes and wildlife within Ruaha and Nyerere national parks, learning from top-quality guides during a multitude of safari activities that range from game drives to bush walks and boat trips.
