Tsessebe Safari in a nutshell
This safari offers a thorough exploration of Botswana’s lusciously aquatic Okavango Delta, with stays in three sister-camps spread throughout and around Moremi Game Reserve.
Run by the same supplier, Okuti, Kanana and Shinde all profit from the same high quality and standard of management, boasting enviable views over their respective waterways and lagoons.
Beginning at Okuti, the camp is located within a prime game-viewing destination overlooking Xakanaxa lagoon. Wildlife here is prolific and subsequently the sightings can be spectacular.
Kanana camp then overlooks a permanent water channel and provides a somewhat more exclusive experience where, whilst the game is less dense, the area is also lesser visited and so feels wonderfully remote. Being situated near a heronry, Kanana offers quick access to a phenomenal magnitude and diversity of birdlife, especially between July and October.
Retaining an air of traditional authenticity, Shinde is then situated beside a deep water lagoon. From here, guests might enjoying seasonal fishing, mokoro and boating excursions and even the potential to explore the region by foot.
Through this combination of camps, guests can enjoy a variety of activities that are both water and land based, seeking out the local flora and fauna through mokoro excurisons, boating trips and day and night 4WD game drives.
