Steenbok Safari in a nutshell
A classic nine-night Botswana safari combining the Khwai Concession of the Moremi, Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta. Stay at three traditional tented camps with plenty of time at each to discover these contrasting areas, all of which harbour excellent numbers of wildlife.
Start at Machaba Camp, by the Khwai River, where you can explore the concession on both day and night drives, as well as walking safaris. The game-rich Moremi Reserve is just across the water. This camp is one of our favourites for its relaxed atmosphere, strong guiding and sustainability efforts.
Next is Savute Under Canvas, an authentic mobile camp. While limited to morning and afternoon drives in Chobe National Park, the wildlife sightings here are usually excellent and the guiding some of the best around. End in the Okavango at Pelo Camp surrounded by permanently flooded plains for a classic Delta experience with a focus on water-based activities such as mokoro canoe trips.
Your stays are connected by short, scenic flights which land at airstrips close to camp. These flights are often spectacular giving you a real insight into the landscapes as well as the chance to spot some of the larger animals from the air.
