"Helicopter Flight - Botswana review"
Based at Lebala Camp on 24 Jun 2024
"We had 4 people in our group and the helicopters only hold up to 3 passengers, so we booked 2 flights. Much to our surprise and delight, they organized having 2 helicopters do the tour at the same time, which was awesome.
The flight itself was well worth the extra expenditure. Leaving from Little Sable was a great spot because of the variety of terrain and because of the river that winds through the area. The pilots were fun and skilled at both the flying and the spotting of animals. The helicopter flight gives you a great perspective on the Okavango Delta.
We were there in a drought year. It was interesting to see where the floodwaters had come and what further areas get flooded when its a wet year. Herds and herds of giraffes, elephants, etc. Some enormous Nile crocodiles and more hippos than we could possibly count." Read more about this whole safari
