"Great location next to the Falls and convenient for the local shops, banks and post office.

Our room was fine, but in the basement and there was no lift.

Dining facilities were good and including an outside terrace." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 1n in Zimbabwe

"Ilala Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 6 Sep 2016
"Location is excellent as others have mentioned, only 10 minutes walk from the falls which is why we selected this option.

Hotel itself is very nice, bar/pool area is very good for drinks and snacks. We stayed 2 nights as first day we arrived late afternoon after the long flight from UK, Town is not far, 10-12 minutes walk down the main road in the town. We even walked one evening to a well known Pizza place, no problems.

Rooms were very comfortable, clean. Bathroom was large with a tub and shower. The showers were very good power showers. Free bottles of water were provided in the rooms. Service was erractic, some were attentive and others were not as much.

Food is very good but expensive. The restaurant is highly rated which we did not know until after. Breakfast was very good." See all these reviews: 8n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Great stay just 10mins walk from Falls"

3 nights Arrived 5 Sep 2016
"We found Ilala a lovely place to stay at Vic Falls. It is just a 10 min walk to the Falls entrance gate and also on the edge of town so very easy to walk to shops, supermarket , cafe etc. The food was excellent at Ilala so we did not eat anywhere else even though we had planned to beforehand.

The room was lovely with wildlife visiting the grounds and it also had a nice pool area to relax. We went on the sunset cruise which was also nice and relaxing and also a chance for some wildlife.

We were extremely pleased with this lodge recommendation from Expert Africa." See all these reviews: 8n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe

"Ilala Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 9 Jun 2016
"Ilala Lodge is very well situated in Victoria Falls - a perfect place for some R&R after a long safari trip.

It has the feel of good colonial style of accommodation.

The food, activities, rooms and facilities were all excellent. The service was good but we felt the initial reception was rather hurried. We were given no time to sit and enjoy our welcoming drink before checking in forms were thrust upon us and we were then whisked off to the room." "Lovely, colonial style Lodge & service."

2 nights Arrived 9 Jun 2016
"The ambience and service at Ilala were in keeping with the historical nature of the Falls and township and provided the perfect setting for our stay there. While not quite the Victorial Falls Hotel, it came very close to providing the same feeling.

The food was very good and the location close to the Falls (easily walkable) and township a bonus.

All in all a delightful experience." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe
