"Second stay"
"Luxury Hotel"
"Great Location "
There's a man made water hole you can view from the rooms that looks perfectly in a natural setting. Lots of elephants, wart hogs, antelope, cranes & even a few crocodiles show up just about every day here. Fun to view. This & hotel adjacent would be the best in the Victoria Falls area. Others might be a little closer to the falls, but the town can be very busy & is not a great place to be.
Our thing to do here was view the entire falls one day, walk the town, shop a bit, have lunch & take the white water rafting another day. The White Water Rafting was intense, both for hiking in/out of deep gorge & the rapids at our time of year presented us with many class 4 & 5 rapids. Most boats flip unless with an oarsman set up on the boat, these all fared better, but getting turned over was part of the adventure that living through it made it even more exciting. One important thing we didn't know is there's no ATM's or currency in Zimbabwe now. We were nearly out of all US $ & they only take CC at hotel & few of the better restaurants." "Lovely Hotel and Spectacular Falls"
We also thoroughly enjoyed the Zambezi sunset cruise, the Livingston safari game drive, the falls and the Boma restaurant.

"The best views in Victoria Falls"
The room was high quality with all amenities including bug spray, but the location is the real selling point. There are routinely baboons which come to visit the balconies and although they are hungry as long as you don't feed them or encourage them they will pass by quietly. The two sliding doors is a nice touch - one is double glazed glass and blocks everything, the other is more perforated metal which blocks baboons and insects but not sound so you can still hear the wildlife from the park while viewing the sunrise and sunset. Bushbuck and warthogs were regular visitors on the hotel grounds, and were totally relaxed.
The Siduli Hide is highly recommended, although it doesn't seem to get much attention. Nothing is guaranteed but you are likely to be extremely close to wild animals including elephant families and even buffalo - it's a convenient and good value way to get game viewing from a unique perspective, as the animals don't view the hide as a threat and are either indifferent or curious. Alternatively, the view from the excellent Club restaurant is directly onto the Hide waterhole and the surrounding park.
If you're looking for a place which is the most convenient for the Falls themselves then perhaps look elsewhere, but how many times are you going to be viewing the Falls themselves? All of the other VF activities are spread out, and this hotel is well positioned for many of them while also being in the wilderness on an enormous and beautiful private site far away from curio sellers and noisy commotion." "Victoria Falls Safari Club review"
The Boma dinner was a big let down. Lots of people selling things and very Disney loke entertainment.
The Zambezi water trip and cruise were both terrific." See all these reviews: 10n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe
"Safari Club- great service"
On the down side my girlfriend was bitten by bedbugs during a massage at the spa. Had bites all over the front of her leg. Had to chuckle when they brought neosporin on a plate with the tube placed on a cloth napkin." See all these reviews: 10n in Zimbabwe; 1n in South Africa
"Lovely place to stay, excellent accomodation"
Not sure how much VFSC were involved but we very much enjoyed our trip to the Falls and the beautiful cruise on the Zambezi. Half of us thought the Boma was awful (dreadful food and horribly kitsch atmosphere) - but at least one of us enjoyed it!
We also arranged zip line/ gorge swing which boys loved and I thought was terrifying." See all these reviews: 10n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe
