"Sprayview Hotel review"
It is well past its 'best before' date, the staff are young and untrained (but very nice), stuff in the room didn't work -- and the price was high! There are far better deals, and I recommend one of the many B&Bs, or a better hotel.
Its location was pretty good: walking distance to the town, and to the Falls. We weren't too excited about visiting Victoria Falls, but are very glad we did. It was wonderful. There's no need to hire a guide at the park. Yes, we sighted elephants--in the middle of the town!" See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia; 10n in Zimbabwe

The Three Monkey's was a great place to eat.
High tea at the Vict Falls hotel was just OK." See all these reviews: 10n in Zimbabwe; 3n in Botswana

"Basic and far from falls but good"
Helpful staff, tour bookings on site and tasty food. Main downside was that it is a bit in the middle of nowhere and they recommend not walking back at night. Was a long walk to the falls but very easy none the less.
Because of distance we ate dinner both nights in the hotel which was actually very good so no complaints from us and very happy to recommend to others." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe

Good meals by the pool with friendly competent service.
Easy walking distance to Vic Falls centre, but more comfortable by taxi." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe
"Sprayview and the Falls"
Location was right at the edge of the town, about 20 minutes walk from the centre. In retrospect, we should have taken the Expert Africa advice and stayed at one of the lodges in town. The town itself is well serviced by persistent hawkers on almost every street.
After the Falls, we did the 'Zambesi Loop' walk mentioned in the Rough Guide. The staff at the Tourist Information office stated that it was safe provided you were sensible (as did a guide from one of the local tour agencies). However, we were sensible, but still ended up closer to elephants on foot than was perhaps a good idea, and some local residents were certainly shocked that we were on that road on foot."
