The staff were all very kind and helpful. One of the ladies suggested shopping at the Elephant’s Walk in town which was a wonderful experience.
We really enjoyed dining in the restaurant in the evening. The food was delicious and the wait staff attentive and pleasant. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. It was wonderful to start and end each day dining on the gorgeous veranda.
Although the lodge is within walking distance of the falls, it was not at all a pleasant experience to do so. Walking into town was fine, but once through town, the street peddlers were relentless. "Batonka - comfortable lodge for your VF stay"
The grounds of Batonka are immaculately manicured and we thoroughly enjoyed unwinding by the pool enjoying the sunshine. Our pool view room was very well appointed with a large super king bed, comfortable seating, and a large bathroom with all the required amenities.
We found breakfast plentiful - a continental spread of fruits, pastries, cereals, yogurt, etc. and a made to order hot food menu with good variety. We were satisfied all three mornings. The staff were happy to deliver drinks and sandwiches to the poolside and we found the entire stay a relaxing way to begin our holiday.
Batonka should also be commended for their staff who were all pleasant, helpful, and keen to ensure the we enjoyed all aspects of our visit to Victoria Falls.

The rooms are large, airy and comfortable. The food was good and the staff efficient, welcoming and very helpful.
The walk to the falls is straight-forward and the slightly off-centre location is not a disadvantage given the very well-appointed facilities of the lodge.

Very peaceful, excellent, extremely attentive staff, a beautiful terrace for breakfast and other meals and a great atmosphere.

Staff were friendly, efficient and very welcoming. They even had a specialist barista if great coffee is your thing.
The main building had the feel of an old colonial mansion with comfy seating areas inside and on the expansive covered deck. Rooms were large and comfortable while the bathrooms were extremely spacious.
The grounds were a delightful space to while away a few hours watching visiting Baboons and the swimming pool was clean if a little cold in May.
