"We had a wonderful stay at Batonka. The lodge and grounds were beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Our room and bath were clean, spacious, and well equipped with towels, body and hair wash, and plentiful hot water.

The staff were all very kind and helpful. One of the ladies suggested shopping at the Elephant’s Walk in town which was a wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed dining in the restaurant in the evening. The food was delicious and the wait staff attentive and pleasant. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. It was wonderful to start and end each day dining on the gorgeous veranda.

Although the lodge is within walking distance of the falls, it was not at all a pleasant experience to do so. Walking into town was fine, but once through town, the street peddlers were relentless. No amount of “no” would stop them from pestering us."

"We loved our stay at Chobe Elephant Camp. The staff there were incredible. We have never experienced such a welcoming, joyful group of people. All of them - not a grump in the crowd. Never did we experience anything but warmth and kindness. Always a smile and a cheerful hello, regardless of the time of day.

The facilities at the camp were excellent. Public areas clean and well-maintained. Room and bath clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Food was excellent, varied, and plentiful.

Game drives were wonderful. The variety and quantity of animal sightings were incredible. Mr. T was professional, knowledgeable, and a delight to know. We learned so much from him. He answered all our many, many questions - sometimes more than once - and always checked to make certain we were all comfortable and enjoying our day. He always stopped when asked and made certain we all had gotten the photos we wanted before we moved on. He was relentless following tips of animal sightings. He put all his skills to work to make certain we saw an elusive leopard.

The full day with river cruise was long, although we wouldn’t have wanted to miss it. Incredible experience to see a large group of elephants swimming across the river.

An earlier arrival to the camp would’ve been nice. We got there just prior to the afternoon drive with not much time to freshen up."

"Our guide, Edwin, was great. He was personable, professional, knowledgeable, and an all around fun guy. We really enjoyed getting to know him. He did an excellent job making certain he filled all our animal sighting requests. We saw lions, cheetahs, and leopards all in one morning drive. Kitty overload! We followed a couple male lions for at least an hour, watched 3 lion cubs play while their mom took a breather, and observed a pack of wild dogs.

Edwin always made certain we were comfortable and enjoying the drive. He answered all our questions and was a wealth of knowledge about the land, flora, and fauna.

We also enjoyed having a tracker on most drives, and seeing how they work together with the guide. Nice to have only six folks in the vehicle.

Mma Dinare facilities were excellent, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening as well as the great day views of the delta. The food was good, varied, and plentiful. We enjoyed the smaller camp (compared to Chobe Elephant) and dining together with our fellow campers to get to know them a bit.

The tent and bathroom were spacious and clean. We managed the outdoor shower, but had it not been warm in the afternoon, it would have not been a pleasant showering experience. Especially with the winds. Maybe needed a bit more shelter and not so open. The upholstered furnishings were a bit tired and could use a refresh.

We enjoyed the porch on the tent where we could relax in the afternoon and still have views of the wildlife. We enjoyed hearing the animals at night. Lots going on out there in the dark!
