"Chobe Elephant Camp review"
The staff were unable to explain how to use the safe, an issue that was “manianed” (not followed up) until we left.
While the transfer from Kafani airport to the camp was by minibus the transfer back was in an open Land Cruiser which was less than ideal for a 1 hour road trip due the exposed seating at speed in high temperatures." See all these reviews: 9n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Chobe Elephant Camp review"
We saw two different leopards, with one being with amazing morning light and up a tree, what more can you ask for? Up until this point we had not seen lions, but here we saw a family group of 15 and a courting couple on more than one occasion. The elephants were out of this world and we we even witnessed them swimming from Botswana to Namibia. We saw extensive bird life and and lots of crocodiles. The morning game drives are cold at this time of year, but the big blankets and hot water bottle made it fine.
Our guide/ driver was lovely and really knew his stuff even stopping to help others stuck in the sand. He showed us the little things as well as the big five.
This camp was extremely friendly, the food while served a little on the fast side was delicious, they really got my dietary needs and went out of their way to substitute food I didn't eat. Nothing is too much trouble here. We will definitely return. We were constantly being welcomed to eat and drink!" See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 5n in Botswana
"Chobe Elephant Camp review"
The facilities at the camp were excellent. Public areas clean and well-maintained. Room and bath clean, spacious, and comfortable.
Food was excellent, varied, and plentiful.
Game drives were wonderful. The variety and quantity of animal sightings were incredible. Mr. T was professional, knowledgeable, and a delight to know. We learned so much from him. He answered all our many, many questions - sometimes more than once - and always checked to make certain we were all comfortable and enjoying our day. He always stopped when asked and made certain we all had gotten the photos we wanted before we moved on. He was relentless following tips of animal sightings. He put all his skills to work to make certain we saw an elusive leopard.
The full day with river cruise was long, although we wouldn’t have wanted to miss it. Incredible experience to see a large group of elephants swimming across the river.
An earlier arrival to the camp would’ve been nice. We got there just prior to the afternoon drive with not much time to freshen up." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe
"Chobe Elephant Camp - beautiful scenery "
Because Chobe National Park requires guides to stay on the agreed roads / paths, you cannot 'track' animals into the bush in the ways you might do in a private concession. However, we were treated to amazing swathes of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, baboons, and a mother lion with 3 cubs during our various drives. Because we stayed for 2 nights we were also treated to a river cruise down the Chobe which was a unique way to see the wildlife, including a close up viewing of a elephant making his way across the river. Our guide Gabriel was really fantastic and made it a great experience in our shared game drives. He knew that all 4 passengers were keen to see a leopard and so used his expertise and experience to ensure we managed a sighting just before sunset on the last evening game drive.
Regarding the camp itself, we found the facilities most enjoyable - in the shared areas, a beautiful fire pit for night sky viewing, a lovely pool and viewing deck with a lookout over the plains, a well-stocked open-bar, and lots of comfortable seating for family style meals. Our only comment about food is that dinners could have been more plentiful - we felt that very small portions were provided at the buffet and there were no opportunities offered for seconds.
The chalets themselves are built with a unique sand bag and plaster method, which meant we were sufficiently cool in the day and warm at night. The rooms were well appointed with large beds, ceiling fan / AC unit / mosquito net, and the bathrooms were so fun with both an indoor and outdoor shower (an experience not to be missed). Camp management were very active and visible and the guides were all friendly and communicating together in the park to ensure the best viewing spots were shared for everyone from Chobe Elephant Camp.
Two nights was sufficient for our stay and we would definitely recommend this camp to fellow travellers!" See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe

The terrace and fire pit have beautiful views of sunset and the valley. We had some wonderful trips in a very beautiful and verdant part of the country. We saw an abundance of wildlife in a different way to Etosha which was wonderful.
The staff sang and danced for us one evening and were all extremely helpful to us throughout. The food was very good but not an enormous variety of options for children." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 5n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe
