Our agent Claire knows what we are after and did (another) brilliant job of not only meeting but surpassing our expectations.
We would return to Hwange Bush Camp tomorrow if we could!"

+ Richard & team took very good care of me when I was not feeling well
+ Enison is a very competent guide
+ Richard went the extra mile to help us identify species
+ great chalet and deck
+ beautiful breakfast, lunch and dinner area
+ great hides
- limited wildlife sightings
- cleanliness could be improved
- no walking safaris due to lack of rangers"
Kuthengo Camp
"Kuthengo Camp review"
+ both boat and jeep safari = fantastic
+ Stanford was a wonderful and competent guide
+ the whole team went the extra mile
+ Jen's background as a nurse came in very handy
+ great animal sightings both from the boat and the vehicle
+ great wildlife directly in front of the camp and tents
+ loved the tented camp (vs. the chalets in the other camps)
- no walking safaris due to lack of rangers"
Pumulani
"Pumulani review"
+ sundowner on the boat
+ fish eagle feeding (a suprise)
+ snorkeling was beautiful
+ hike up the mountain was lovely
+ nice pool areas
+ star gazing with Godfrey was brilliant
+ Jen offering new mocktails and cocktails was a treat
+ Jen was very forthcoming in that we could change our villa
- the villas were stunning but - when we were there - way too hot. Only the bedroom had air conditioning, the other rooms were so hot we couldn't spend time in them
- depending on the villas there was little space to store items/cloths
- the board walk needs attention"
Luangwa River Camp
"Luangwa River Camp review"
+ Breakfast out in the open with view of the river and breakfast prepared over the fire was an absolute treat and a wonderful way to start the day
+ Daudi went out of his way to show us the animals such as lion cubs, leopard and wild dogs
+ great fun with the whole team
+ we were treated to local mangos
+ Kim went out of her way to decorate drinks after the afternoon safari
+ fantastic wildlife sightings
+ buffet lunch was a delight
+ all the chalets are located underneath trees which supply lovely shade
- the chalets are dark, not so cosy, and our bathroom was also dark and not inviting"

- Pretty location and deck with a great view
Negative:
- basic cleanliness could be better
- No apparent management: no personal welcoming card, no envelopes for the tipps, breakfast was always at the same place, no survey at the end, it did not seem to be a Robin Pope Camp
- The hosts uniform was not in a good state and often he wore his personal shirt"
Kafunta River Lodge
"Good as the first lodge but not as the last"
- bigger lodge (10 chalets vs. 5-6)
- different type of guests (loud, obnoxious and smoking guests)
Positive
