"Ilala Lodge review"

3 nights Arrived 22 Mar 2017
"The location of Ilala is perfect for the view of the mist from the Falls and the walking trail to the Falls and Bridge and the town itself. It is set in manicured gardens where monkeys and warthogs wander.

The Buffet Breakfast had everything along with freshly made hot choices. Dinner was set outside on the lawn under the stars with the piano music in the background - magical!

We went on both the Sunset and the Sunrise River Tour. Both were wonderful opportunities to view birds and other wildlife." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 6n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe

"Great start to our Africa trip"

2 nights Arrived 12 Mar 2017
"We really enjoyed our at Illala Lodge stay. It was very relaxed, informal and we were looked after exceptionally well by all the staff, who were friendly and efficient.

The two nights we had there was a really good start to our holiday enabling us to rest up after our journey from London.

The lodge was clean, the food was excellent, and the facilities very good, and we were very well situated to view the falls being10 minutes walk away.

We enjoyed watching the warthogs wander around the grounds of the lodge." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Ilala Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 25 Feb 2017
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Ilala. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the lodge had a luxurious feel.

We paid a bit extra for the "sunrise over the falls" view which I thought meant we could see the falls but we couldn't (just the steam) and that wasn't viewable from my particular room. Still, the view was nice. We all wished there had been a gift shop because the town itself doesn't seem to have any nice shops.

The Ilala is easy walking distance from town and from the falls. The range of activities was also good. I did a morning game drive that was really well done and my friends and I did an evening cruise on the Zambezi which was very pleasant." See all these reviews: 3n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Ilala Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 18 Dec 2016
"A great Lodge! Outstanding service and top notch food.

Both the staff and management were very helpful and went out of their way to welcome us. The facilities were great and rooms to a high standard.

The pool was popular and very welcome in the heat. A great refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Victoria Falls commercial entrepreneurs (i.e. street vendors!) Easy walk to Victoria Falls." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Excellent base in Vic falls"

2 nights Arrived 15 Nov 2016
"Ilala Lodge is very well located within Vic Falls, being a very short walk from the Falls themselves. Superior rooms overlook the spray from the Falls. They are spacious and comfortable and provide an excellent base after a long flight from the UK. Very good restaurant with reasonably priced food and drink.

Staff are courteous and helpful and an early breakfast was arranged for our early start to travel on." See all these reviews: 10n in Zimbabwe

1 night Arrived 12 Nov 2016
"Comfortable garden rooms with terrace beside the hotel lawn, on which we saw a warthog, a group of female monkeys with young babies, and a whole cohort of banded mongooses which wandered past about 3 feet away!

Within walking distance of the Victoria Falls NP entrance & the pleasant town of Victoria Falls with its restaurants and variety of tourist shops, including some authentic African craft sellers.

We ate only breakfast at the hotel, which consisted of a good buffet and a variety of cooked dishes which were also good." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 8n in Botswana; 1n in Zimbabwe

"Beautiful hotel, a short walk from the falls"

1 night Arrived 28 Oct 2016
"Ilala Lodge is rather a hotel than a lodge. Our room was very luxurious with all required facilities available.

The restaurant served splendid food, such as crocodile risotto. Breakfast was also great with a good variety of food and a special breakfast menu.

The location is good, it is about 10mins by foot to the entrance of Vic Falls. The staff is friendly.

Overall a great experience at the end of our journey." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 1n in Zimbabwe
