"Good place to start your trip"

1 night Arrived 17 Jul 2013
"A good place to start your trip. Spacious and clean rooms (family room). Easy to find, the gated parking is a plus.

Gisela is very welcoming and gave us some good tips where to buy supplies.

The kids loved racing with the dogs." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Warm welcome at Haus Sonneneck"

1 night Arrived 4 Jun 2013
"The quiet location of Haus Sonneneck was certainly a big plus on arrival in Windhoek. It was not difficult to find and it was good to have secure gated parking.

Reasonable restaurants were only a short drive away." See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia

"Haus Sonneneck review"

2 nights Arrived 1 May 2013
"We stayed at Haus Sonneneck for one night only and it was nice and relaxing. The owner and staff were helpful in trying to sort out some luggage issues with the airline and giving us advice on where to go to buy supplies.

The location is a bit out of the way but it was a good way to start our holiday slowly. The kids loved the swimming pool." See all these reviews: 8n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Great place to start your trip"

1 night Arrived 30 Sep 2012
"Welcoming and comfortable. Delightful gardens. Lovely breakfast.

The only downside was that it cost ÂŁ20 (return) to take a taxi to anywhere within Windhoek (to eat, to pick up the car)." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Great welcome, great lodging"

1 night Arrived 17 Sep 2012
"We were made to feel very welcome by Gisela. This guest house rates very highly for hospitality and the quality of the accommodation - spacious, clean and very comfortable; and set in very pretty gardens.

We would have been very happy to stay longer but this was just an overnight stop after flying in." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 6n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Overnight stay at Haus Sonneneck in Windhoek"

1 night Arrived 15 Sep 2012
"Haus Sonneneck made a good place for an overnight stop and a starting point for our trip. Clear directions were provided and we found it easy enough to find our way there (in spite of being told when we arrived that the leaflet we had been given was not the latest version).

The room provided was large and comfortable with a pleasant outside seating area. Gisela gave us a friendly welcome as well as advice about local shops and restaurants, and about our onward journey." See all these reviews: 20n in Namibia

"Relaxing stopover at Haus Sonneneck"

1 night Arrived 12 Sep 2012
"After the long overnight flight, it was great to have an easy drive to Haus Sonneneck (simple to find our way up to the hilly, calm suburb of Eros) and relax until setting off on our travels the following morning. We got a good welcome and a recommendation to visit Joe's Beerhouse for a meal (lively with a very mixed clientele and good, interesting menu).

Rooms were large and simply but well furnished, with a lovely back terrace with table and chairs. Nice pool and good breakfast too. Just right for our first night in Namibia - nothing fancy, but everything we needed." See all these reviews: 8n in Namibia
