"A first class camp"
It is a long drive along a rough road to reach the camp so limits the extent you would want to come and go. Walking from the camp was also restricted but it was very pleasant to just relax." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

Service and food were excellent and the whole experience was a benchmark against which the rest of trip would be measured. The iced tea and cooling towels on arrival were a nice touch." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 1n in South Africa
"Onguma Tented Camp review"
HOwever there was absolutely no presence from a manager which let it down significantly. Sandra who seemed to be charge was absolutely delightful and very very helpful but the place had no 'presence' which was such a let down for it as on location and facilities it was absolutely the best. We had to go to the kitchen ourselves to find staff on 2 occasions.
Very good food.
Staff that were there were very pleasant in deed, really good but noone was really in charge, Sandra was technically but having come from Cameron and Wendy this was such a stark contrast.
Guding staff - Nicholas was great and very friendly but they were very short staffed and all very young - too young really. There was no real maturity across the whole staff spectrum.
Very shocked and disappointed that the staff appeared to not be treated very well, no set days off, no set holidays, manager apparently denied them holidays - all the other places seemed to be 6 weeks on 2 weeks off but not here - Really not impressive at all.
Such a pity because of these points as it would just be totally out of this world if only they had a manager and a presence to give the place some feeling.
For example - other places we were greeted at our car with drinks and cold towels - here we had to find our way in etc etc.
The staff who were there were lovely though - they just needed support!" See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

We only stayed at the camp one night so did not partake in the activities, but we would definately return for a longer stay given the chance." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia
"Onguma Tented Camp review"
The tents overlook the waterfall which can give some amazing night-viewings, but can also mean you don't get much sleep!
Well appointed rooms and helpful staff, although no fridge was a bit of a shame.
Excellent food and the bar area and dining room are beautiful (and the small pool very "refreshing"!)." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Lion camp"
Sandra and David were charming, attentive and delightful as was Matteus who had a wonderful sense of humour. Food was delicious and service excellent. Everything here is done for you. Waterhole attracts resident porcupines.
Tented accommodation was beautiful and lovely to have the bath and outside shower. Infinity pool lovely to look at but very cold! Heard lions roaring in the night and nearly drove over them in the morning on the way out.
The only minor criticism we can think of is the safe needs to be secured to the wall." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

The night game drive was great if a bit scary, despite being told that lions do not try to get into vehicles they were so close at night that you still felt scared - in an enjoyable way!" See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

"Luxury camping"
The local reserve is a bit thin on game, so the afternoon drives on offer are not terribly exciting if you've already been 'in the thick of it' for a few days, although the group who had just arrived were thrilled by a few springbok and kudu.
Excellent morning drive to Etosha, but it seemed to be standard practice to get back to the camp for 1130 and I would happily have stayed all day - indeed we ended up going back into the park in our car ourselves after lunch.
Overall a great couple of days, however, and the food here was probably the best of the trip - would put many city restaurants to shame." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia
