"Etosha Oberland Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 7 Oct 2024
"Being so close to Etosha it was an easy drive into the park for a day's visit.

The lounge and pool area was made special by wildlife visiting the waterhole.

Sitting on the decking area for dinner and sundown is definately a highlight of this lodge.

Food was top class and the rooms well layout out and thoughtful with regards to plugs and light switches." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"These rooms were our favorite of the entire trip!

TRULY a gorgeous lodge and such a fantastic way to end the trip! Loved everything about our experience here!

The main lodge is gorgeous too and the inclusion of mini bar and drinks like kalahari red dunes makes it feel so special!

Beyond amazing" See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

2 nights Arrived 8 Sep 2023
"An excellent lodge which felt bigger and more international than our other lodges.

The room was very luxurious and the tasting menus each evening were unbelievable - great variety of Namibian gin and delicious food on the terrace watching the animals come in to the watering holes. Such a magical experience.

Our guide was impressive and the three of us enjoyed snuggling under fleece lined ponchos as we set out at daybreak to Etosha. The huge breadth of animals was stunning. As well as those detailed below, we saw black backed jackals, honey badgers, springbok, dikdiks, impalas, waterbucks, ostrich, warthogs, eagles, hornbills, goshawks and many species of birds.

After the excursion, a dip in the lovely pool with the Wildebeest and antelopes walking past completed a fabulous day. The staff were endlessly helpful, and thoughtful." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"A very pretty setting. Sitting watching the waterhole with a gin and tonic at sunset will stay in our memory.

The food was exceptional here and served in the prettiest of spots.

Our lodge was nice and close to the main building and was very comfortable and beautifully furnished.

A 10 minute drive got us into Etosha National Park - so its location was ideal." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Etosha Oberland Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 21 Apr 2023
"This is such a luxurious Lodge and is in a perfect location so close to the Andersson Gate entrance to Etosha.

The rooms are massive and have a beautiful deck with chairs and sun loungers so we did have a couple of hours relaxing on there looking out over the private reserve, watching springbok and steenboks mainly. We did an all day trip into Etosha with the Lodge which was good but, to be honest, it is so easy to drive yourself around (there is no off road driving) that it felt like the activity was more of a local taxi service between water holes. That said, we did get to see a heard of about 40 elephants having fun at a waterhole (Aus) as well as a pride of lions just lying on the open space along the main road between the Gate and the payment point at Okaukuejo.

However, we also saw loads of animals when we were driving ourselves the day before and the day after (including a rhino along that same main road, so don't forget to keep your eyes peeled along there, it's easy to forget that you're in the park once you drive through Andersson Gate and before you've paid!)." "Beautiful, spacious tents which did get very hot.

Ask for a second key to leave the air conditioning running when you go out or you come back to a sauna! Lovely water hole by the restaurant.

Big site so you can be quite a long way from the swimming pool and restaurant." See all these reviews: 20n in Namibia

"Etosha Oberland Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 2 Feb 2023
"Very much a 'bling' camp: everything built with a view to impress. So, huge, beautifully presented room.

Public rooms spacious, strong design dimension - everything thought through to impress - and it did.

Walk with Herman in morning was excellent. Food very good.

Sitting watching rhino at the waterhole while we ate was memorable.

One downside - wi-fi no good, even causing problems with everyone's payments.

Good wi-fi just up the road at Etosha." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

1 night Arrived 29 Mar 2022
"This was a beautiful lodge with extremely friendly staff. The lodge is pretty new and had beautiful rooms, with lovely views.

A swimming pool you could swim which was chilly but not too cold. The location to the park meant it was easy to self drive into Etosha. We had a lovely sighting at the waterhole which was great for this time of year. We were able to watch Impala out of our bedroom window.

The food was 5 star!" See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
