"The City Lodge was fine. The fact that I could walk there from the airport made it perfect for our stay"

"The Naukluft Mountains are beautiful - the location is great. The owner/host couple were friendly and lovely. My adult kids went on an 8-mile hike in the mts and heard and then saw zebras as they hiked. That hike was too much for me and a lovely staff member accompanied me on a 3 1/2 hour walk. Next day, the husband of the couple took us on a drive in his 4x4 which was fabulous. We also saw the Quiver Trees - unique to Namibia. Fab!"

The Sossusvlei Excursion was superb - everything we could have imagined and more. The dunes are beautiful Deadvlei is iconic and the guide was superb - knowledgeable and caring and gave us the greatest lunch with no people around"

"I cannot change the choice above. the apt was larger than we needed and lovely -the location across the street from the ocean - excellent. But we could not open the gate to the sidewalk and beach - so we had to walk around . Also - at night the hot water heater for the showers did not work and it was too late for the manager to call in someone. Not good.

The food in the local restaurants - which had great reviews - was not actually so good. Certainly not as good as in the lodges.!



Also - we chose 3 nights in Swakopmund which was one day too much. It was our choice, not Sabina's"

"Driving to Doro Nawas we saw many animals along the road. The accommodations are excellent- spacious and private. Staff was like at every other lodge was friendly and knowledgeable and excellent. Food was excellent. You must stop at the bakery Outyu - on the way to the lodge. Location was great - animals were great - people were great."
