"Etosha Safari Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 12 Oct 2024
"This wasn't originally scheduled for us, but we made a last-minute change to go here (to reduce driving on bad roads to the far north).

This was more of a mass tourism roadside stop and not so much an experience in itself like everywhere else stayed.

It was adequate but crowded and unexceptional. No internet during our two-day stay. Food and service were mediocre.

The best thing about the place was the evening music by a local group.

We drove ourselves to Etosha for one day where we saw a wide variety of wildlife." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Nice place, with great access to Etosha, however, there was no direct access to animals at the camp and it was a bit too touristy for our appetite." See all these reviews: 6n in Namibia

"Quirky"

2 nights Arrived 2 Aug 2019
"The "shebeen" dining/ bar area was fun and lively with live music each evening. The buffet food was plentiful with a decent range of options. Depending on what you chose some if it was good and some poor.

The room was a bit like a prison cell with virtually no veranda and the bush came right up the front door so no ability to see out. Extremely functional which had us heading immediately back to the shebeen for a glass of wine." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 3n in Zimbabwe

"This was another unexpected joy - very different atmosphere. Run by impressive and friendly team .

Good mix of slick service with relaxed “traveller vibe”. Hard to pull off but they do.

We enjoyed the music in the evening." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Good for Etosha Park"

2 nights Arrived 20 Nov 2016
"Etosha Safari Camp is located just outside Andersson gate so very convenient for getting into the park.

The chalet was clean and comfortable and dinner is buffet style. The food was OK, but one dish looked very much like the rest and the staff didn't seem to know what was what. We had great service one night, but the next night there seemed to be nobody there, just one chap who didn't really want to help the guests.

The evening entertainment is a couple of guys playing guitar. The pool here is quite large and very clean - we liked it!" See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Etosha Safari Camp review"

1 night Arrived 19 Oct 2016
"This is a very basic camp on the edge of a large facility that includes some more impressive lodgings, but this probably reflected in the comparative prices.

The room came with 3 single beds which was incredibly crowded. The AC was spotty at best, but the bathroom was spacious and creatively decorated.

The local band playing at the dining facility was delightful, but the dining, pool and bar area gets extremely crowded which puts a noticeable strain on the service." See all these reviews: 27n in Namibia
