"Nice idea, shame about the lodge..."

1 night Arrived 20 May 2014
"This was the biggest disappointment of our trip.

We love Etosha, but unfortunately we can't recommend Dolomite Camp. The idea is good, but the execution is poor. There is a long and steep walk to most of the rooms, with no certainty of assistance carrying your bags.

The staff seem rather uninterested and don't really understand what their guests need from them." See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia

"Dolomite Camp review"

1 night Arrived 16 Nov 2013
"The camp itself is beautifully designed and situated-public spaces, individual rooms and a really nice pool. We especially loved the rooms with balconies that were so private and peaceful.

The food in the dining rooms was good and staff , when we were there, pleasant. We left by taking the longer road out to the gate because there were water holes noted on our map. All but one of these was closed and we wished the we had known this before we chose this route. We did not take any of the drives." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Great location"

2 nights Arrived 12 Nov 2013
"Inspite of the great location we found you have to be prepared for the effort of getting to and from your room The pathways are fairly narrow and uneven with steep inclines in places, the only other means of getting to the restaurants and bar etc are via the golf buggies that shuttle guests back and forth.

A lot of the waterholes had dried out so local sightings of animals were limited." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia

"A wonderful place!"

1 night Arrived 31 Oct 2013
"We had 2 nights at Dolomite camp.

When we arrived at Dolomite camp and saw the surroundings, the lovely cabins and the smiling staff we were all feeling very spoiled. This is a little paradise taking into consideration the remote location and the harsh environment.

Stunning view from the cabins with a lot of animals moving to and fro the waterhole. Day of departure we watched a beatiful sunrise and hearing the bush "waking up".

The last evening when parking the car, a big male lion put his head out of some bushes only 100m away and gave a mighty roar. This was the highlight of our trip and my heartrate was way above avarege during the few minutes he used to walk around us. Guess we blocked his way when he was checking his territory." "What a great start to Etosha."

1 night Arrived 21 Sep 2013
"Arrival at Dolomite camp was a surprise, with all the rooms nestled into the hillside, almost completely hidden. It wasn't the easiest place for the least able in our group, however, the staff made everything possible, by making sure she did not have to walk anywhere.

The rooms were lovely, ours looked down on the waterhole.

Food and service good" See all these reviews: 24n in Namibia; 2n in South Africa

"A great location, with excellent access to water-holes (self driven).

A beautiful camp, but the attitude of some of the staff was questionable. They seemed to be doing us a favour and need a course on customer focus." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Ideal spot for the waterholes."

1 night Arrived 18 Sep 2013
"We did not have to wait many minutes before the golf cart collected us from the car park when we arrived.
We went on the game drive which introduced us to the animals in Etosha; wonderful.

As vegetarians, this was the worst dinner that we had in Namibia!

The tent was very noisy in the wind but comfortable." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

2 nights Arrived 15 Sep 2013
"Phenomenal location. Service slightly uneven overall but generally very good, including changing tire for us very helpfully and rapidly when we returned with a flat.

Golf buggy arrangement slightly bizarre but added to fun. V exciting spotting rhinos on self drive.

Incredible view from balcony. Best swimming pool." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia
