It was a long time coming as we booked pre-Covid and wondered if we would ever get there.
Expert Africa was instrumental in delivering this from the moment we contacted them to the fantastic planning mainly from Megan. She kept us up to date during Covid to when things were eventually opening up. Everything ran smoothly with no problems, especially flights and transfers.
I cannot thank them enough and would definitely recommend.

The way that Lucy organised the order of our visits, and the choice of camps that she recommended was excellent. Everything ran very smoothly and we saw so much game at the first camp we were almost spoiled for the rest! The camps all had different features and we enjoyed the different experiences at all of them. I had an ambition to see Wild Dogs which was fulfilled, and the Chobe NP probably has more elephants than you could possibly imagine.
The Guide at Linyanti Bush Camp rather let the side down, and I have elaborated in our detailed feedback on this camp, but that shouldn't detract from it being a lovely camp with great camp staff.
The only slight criticism is that we hadn't expected the ground to basically be sand which meant very, very bumpy rides, and that we didn't have the best footwear. This was very different ground to other safari venues we have visited - but we managed okay - might just be worth forewarning folk if they've not been to Botswana before.
Overall a fantastic holiday, and we shall of course go with Expert Africa on future journeys to that great continent.

The booking process was really efficient, informative and painless thanks to Tracy's help and availability throughout. I had a particular itinerary in mind but was not sure whether it would work in practice. With Tracy's help it became a reality and the girls and I had a very memorable trip of a lifetime with lots of photographs to enjoy for years afterwards.
I couldn't fault any of it - all the connections worked well and no complaints about any aspect.

In addition, due to her vigilance, we were able to rescue the trip from disaster when British Airways suddenly cancelled our flight to Zimbabwe with a 2 week notice. She had prepared us for this so we had a back up plan. Also, she gave us very good COVID traveling advice which we followed to the letter and things went very smoothly with all border transitions.
Overall, the trip was a much needed break from the stress of the last 2 years. Out in the safari car with the wind in our faces, looking for animals was mentally, spiritually and physically rejuvenating. This was truly the trip of a lifetime.

The trip was initially put together by Richard Ball, who has since left the Company and then taken over by Tracy, who gave us great confidence. Covid then hit and we had to postpone our trip twice, but at no point did we feel any concern that it was not going to go ahead or that it would not be what we had hoped for.
At the last moment one airline went bust, a few days before our departure but Tracy had got seats held on another airline before we even got in touch with her. The trip itself went really well, without a hitch. At every step we were met and guided across borders, through airports and onto transfers. The lodges that had been recommended were ideal and as we had hoped, the mobile safari was a real highlight.
Thank you to everyone at Expert Africa who worked so hard to make this a truly memorable and extremely enjoyable holiday.

"Our June 2022 trip"
We stayed in Victoria Falls 3 nights to recover from the long journey and enjoy the Falls and Zambezi River experience. We had a 9-night mobile safari with 1-night stays in lodges before and after. Before to "transition" from Vic Falls area and at end to "transition" from mobile safari to the long journey home. All bookings, transfers, meals, etc were executed as expected with high quality service.
We found Tracy to be very helpful and honest in her guidance with us. The changing requirements due to COVID added more considerations for her and us to balance....and that all went smoothly with her help.

Chobe Chilwero
On the periphery of Chobe National Park, Chobe Chilwero offers luxurious surroundings and excellent food, which complement superb game viewing on game drives and boat trips.
Camp Kuzuma
Camp Kuzuma sits in the Kazuma Forest Reserve and is an excellent place to see elephant in particular. Away from the busier riverfront area of Chobe National Park this camp offers a luxurious base form which to explore this less visited region of northern Botswana.
Savute Elephant Lodge
Savute Elephant Lodge is a luxurious camp on the banks of the now flowing Savuti Channel. This is a classic big-game area, although its location within Chobe National Park does limit the activities which are possible here.
Elephant Valley Lodge
Elephant Valley Lodge is a lovely camp in a beautiful setting – sit in its hide and watch the wildlife come to drink at the waterhole. Activities focus on boating and drives in Chobe which - although very busy, and a long drive from the lodge – is very rich in wildlife.
