"Amazing camp and safari"

3 nights Arrived 23 Jul 2012
"As we were with Nomad for our entire trip, it was a pleasure to pull into their camp. Had a drink of our choice waiting for us as we got out of our truck.

Tent was amazing...luxurious and rustic, felt like we could have been on Safari with Teddy Roosevelt. Woke up each morning with a view of zebra, wildebeest, baboons, eland, gazelle, etc. Free drinks and time around the campfire each night, and community dinners with the other guests...which was a very nice experience after more than a week just eating with the two of us.

Staff was amazing, food was great, and the safari was spectacular...drove right through the wildebeest migration, and had lunch surrounded 360 by wildebeests and zebras. GREAT place to end our safari. Can't say enough good things about Nomad Tanzania." See all these reviews: 10n in Zanzibar; 7n in Tanzania

"Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 10 Jul 2011
"Perfect camp. Two days before we were to head out the 'mobile' camp relocated to be right inside the migration which was a truly incredible experience.

Falling asleep to the sound of wildebeests is truly an excellent experience." See all these reviews: 9n in Tanzania

"Arrived Day 1 of new camp near Mara River!"

4 nights Arrived 10 Jul 2011
"Tents, service, food and location were all excellent.

At night in your tent you could hear the lions roar, hyenas cry and wildebeests migrating through the camp. Fascinating but not scary.

Days on safari with our Nomad guide, Khalifa, were excellent. We saw the wildebeest and zebra in their tens of thousands moving inexorably north towards the Mara and Sand Rivers and then, somtimes, crossing. It rained a bit 2 days we were there which freshened the grass and made the animals less desperate to cross the Mara or Sand River. The crossings, when they occurred, were exciting and not without their peril for the wildebeests from broken legs on the rocks or crocodiles or lions.

We also sawe a leopard kill, cheetahs consuming a kill, many prides of lions and a lion kill as well as giraffes, elephants, hyenas, jackals, etc. The days were full of interest." See all these reviews: 13n in Tanzania; 4n in Rwanda

"Nomad camp...just perfect"

4 nights Arrived 31 Jul 2010
"I cannot say how happy we were with the Nomad camp and guides. The level of professionalism was superb, the quality and variety of meals where inspirational and the company and atmosphere in the camp was perfect.

We arrived hot and tired after our transfer, the Tsetse flies had been biting us on the way but seeing a herd of elephants as we left the airfield together with a hot shower and cold drink soon revived us. The relaxed family dining table was brilliant, a great time to catch up on everyone's adventures and sighting's plus some intelligent and interesting conversation. Once again the international groups made this a first class atmosphere, we had groups from USA, UK and Belgium whilst we were there and it was family friendly as well. The teenagers made friends and played board games before dinner whilst the adults indulged in one more "gintonic" and great wines around the campfire.

Our guide was very professional and we were very lucky to see everything we had hoped for including a river crossing. We found that the option of a long day was better than two shorter game drives as the camp was about 30 to 40 minutes drive from the main Game activity. As this was pour fist Safari I was concerned that we wouldn't make the right choices, but at Nomad I absolutely know that we got it just right. Even the hyenas howling at the starry sky outside the tent couldn't stop me sleeping like a baby." See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania; 7n in Zanzibar

"Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp review"

3 nights Arrived 10 Jun 2009
"Loved it - we really liked the way you could split the tent into 3 sections to be a bit more private when washing or changing. Good idea to have a "back door" so that someone can come in and top up your hot and cold water in the morning.

Babu Tryphon and his assistant looked after our every need when we were in the mess tent. All the staff were really nice. Laundry service was very good and very fast.

Excellent location - we saw lots of animals and were right in the middle of the migration with a fantastic view from the dining tent." See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania; 4n in Zanzibar; 1n in Kenya

"Excellent safari at Nomad Serengeti Camp"

4 nights Arrived 11 Jul 2008
"As with any safari camp, Nomad had actually moved the camp northwards to catch the by then all but completed migration - happening some 5-6 weeks previously we were told - leaving a good few thousand game lagging behind in a state of confusion / reverse migration owing to the rains and continuing unsettled weather.

The move resulted in a long transfer / extended game drive of some 6 hours, leaving us pretty whacked out following such an early departure from Kigali that morning - we didn't get to camp much before 4:30pm so weren't in much of a state for any evening activity save for a sundowner.

The rest of the time was, however, fantastic. All clients enjoyed the sole use of a private safari 4x4 and guide, which was just what we wanted and made the whole experience more rewarding. The staff were among the best we have experienced and the level of service and food quality, given the mobile nature of the camp and its support, were exemplary.

The camps are relayed between sites - the next passed us wrapped up in the back of three trucks one afternoon - but from the quality of the fixtures and the time taken in presentation, the tents and recreational areas would rival many permanent sites. You just can't beat a hot bucket shower at the end of a packed game drive. It felt like, indeed was, an authentic bush camp. A top experience."
