"Mkombe's House is beyond amazing!"
On top of that, we loved spending afternoons in the pool and seeing wildlife pass by! Sunrise and sunset at Mkombe's House are unmatched! Best of all, Babu (Mkombe's House manager) made sure everything was pristine and truly took care of us! We will remember all the games of Bao we played with Babu!
Our guide Amos in Serengeti was very experienced, he saw rhino footprints on our drive and managed to drive him down!" See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania; 4n in Rwanda
"An experience that will stay with us forever"
Babu gave us an exceptional welcome and along with Gabrielle and all the staff we were made to feel like kings and queens. Nothing too much trouble but always presented in relaxed and quietly efficient manor. Babu taught me how to play Bao and even allowed me to win once or twice!
The food was of outstanding in quality and variety. breakfast on safari, lunch afternoon tea, pre dinner nibbles and dinner the chef shared his recipes and I have made his granola and smoked aubergine dip trying hard to remember the mornings on the Serengeti and beautiful evening sunsets.
This house is a one off experience, highly recommended if you get the opportunity to visit." See all these reviews: 17n in Tanzania
"Amazing location and accomodations"
Service and attention was impeccable and being 4 girls amongst 6 male staff, we felt very comfortable. The head of the house Babu(which means grandfather) took good care of us as if we were his family. If you are going for complete solitude, you should mention it ahead of time because the service is so good, you often see the staff.
They had shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and wash soap in the rooms but you will need a US adaptor for charging. The internet was slow but sufficient. There is also a very good gift shop at the neighboring Lamai so you will need your guide to drive you" See all these reviews: 10n in Tanzania
