"The Trip Overall"

I visited Namibia between 7 Oct 2011 and 27 Oct 2011
"We have a excellent adventure through Namibia, it was our first time driving in Africa but we did not experience any problems. The trip went like clockwork and we do not have any issues at all with any part of the package assempled by the Namibian team at Expert Africa.

I have created a travelogue of our experience which can be viewed at http://www.photosnapshot.co.uk/Pages/Nam2011Log_1.aspx

When I go back to Africa I know who my first port of call will be to.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The Dolomite Camp is about 100km from the nearest petrol station at Kamanjab, if guests have travelled from Okaukuejo and are spending a few days doing their own safari in the Dolomite area it's possible they may not have sufficeint fuel to make it to Kamanjab, they should be made aware of the potential problem. I was allowed out of the gate to get some fuel without problem.

We did have a bit of a difficult journey in our Toyota Corolla between Uis and Grootberg, the reason was because of the exceptional rains they had in Namibia the previous wet season part of the road was washed away and I had to traverse the uneven river bed for part of the journey filled with big stones. Fortunately I only hit bottom a couple of times but I suspect someone with limited driving experience may have got into difficuty. I don't think a 4 wheel drive is requires but a high base car would have been more appropriate.

Hope this helps." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"Trip overall"

I visited Namibia between 6 Oct 2011 and 25 Oct 2011
"Memorable and trip greatly helped by mine and Judy's previous knowledge of where to stay. Exhausting from a driver's perspective - wouldn't even do it by 4x4 until roads get sorted - they are truly terrible now

I think Sabina dealt with a 'demanding' client - that's me Alison - expertly - I'm never easy when organising stuff like this and she really pulled out all the stops. I would definitely book through you guys again" Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

""

I visited Namibia between 5 Oct 2011 and 23 Oct 2011
"Overall the trip went very well, some places we enjoyed more than others but that is to be expected. We did feel that we should have been encouraged more to take a 4x4, as we did find that we had to drive quite carefully, which added to the journey times and it would have been more comfortable and less tiring on the gravel/sand roads.

Although we do not have any mobility problems, I do think advise should be given about the unfriendly approach and general uneven terrain at Doro Nawas." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 3 Oct 2011 and 23 Oct 2011
"We really enjoyed our trip and all aspects (except those listed in the box below) went smoothly. The folder that contained all the vouchers and key information together was useful.

With hindsight we should have booked accommodation with AC throughout the trip because if you go out early it is valuable to have somewhere cool enough to rest in the heat of the day before going out again in the afternoon. We probably should have worked this out for ourselves but I hadn't expected to want to be in much at midday and had not appreciated how hot tents can get!

We would definitely recommend Namibia at this time of year to any wildlife enthusiasts and your advice helped us to make the most of it." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"Self drive in Namibia"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 2 Oct 2011 and 18 Oct 2011
"We had a wonderful trip. We got what we came for, a lot of wild animals, great nature and an exciting holiday.

A beautiful country with friendly people. It was very easy driving on good roads and no problems occured.

We are very excited and will certainly make another trip in the future.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

When we entered Etosha, we saw that big areas were burnt down. This probably affected the wildlife, and we would want to have some info about these conditions in forehand, if possible of course." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"3 camps in Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 29 Sep 2011 and 11 Oct 2011
"Good. The 3 camps were chosen to give us three different environments which worked well.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

It proved almost impossible to re-confirm our return flight with Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Edinburgh. Please bear in mind that not everybody flies through London.

The information we were given about our private charter flights bore little relation to the actuality." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 10 on a Namibia trip

"Fantastic experience with Expert Africa"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 26 Sep 2011 and 21 Oct 2011
"Tracy had worked really hard to put together a wonderful itinerary, building to a great climax. All our venues had a wow factor and it would be hard to choose a favourite.

Travelling through Namibia, Chobe And Zambia gives an amazing variety of experiences.

One needs to watch the waistline as one is fed relentlessly on delicious fare.

Many thanks for great service, best wishes, Jane Westermann

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Luggage allowances were a problem as we were given different advice. Photographers need to know that they won't be separated from their precious stuff. There is obviously a difference between v small flights and the Proflights to Mfuwe. This doesn't necessarily relate to you but it was the only thing on which we were unclear." "First time in Namibia but not the last"

I visited Namibia between 16 Sep 2011 and 2 Oct 2011
"We had a great time. We haven't driven ourselves in Africa for a long time and really enjoyed the experience.

Wonderful country; we were never far from beautiful mountains and the roads were excellent. People are friendly and welcoming. We felt safe wherever we went. The suggested itinerary gave a wonderful insight into the country and we intend to return.

Angela was very helpful and responded quickly to all our questions.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No. This is the second time we have booked through Expert Africa, and have been impressed both with the recommendations and the efficiency with which the booking has been handled." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip
