"Another trip of a lifetime!!"

I visited Namibia between 7 Jun 2014 and 6 Jul 2014
"Our trip to Namibia was stunning and more than we could have hoped for. We can't thank Expert Africa enough for making our limited budget go as far as it did! Sabina managed to arrange some outstanding accomodation for us.

Everywhere we went it was noticeable that the lodge owners had only good things to say about Expert Africa and your handling agents in Southern Africa, (Wilderness Safari's?)

I would just to to say thank you so much for organising our trip. We hope to be in touch again soon to arrange another adventure!!!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Keep up the good work. You clearly have a good reputation in Southern Africa so you must be doing something right." Read full review: 29 nights in Africa; 25 on a Namibia trip

"Our Namibian adventure - April 2014"

I visited Namibia between 12 Apr 2014 and 28 Apr 2014
"Any journey to the wilderness will bring adventures, some pleasant whilst other experiences are less so. Nothing can be guaranteed, but being prepared and being able to adapt is key to having an enjoyable time, whatever the circumstances.

So, the few problems we encountered during our 14 day stay in Namibia pale into insignificance compared to the spectacular scenery, outstanding guiding and helpful staff. Our holiday will be memorable for many years to come for all the postive things we saw, did and learned.

Tracy at Expert Africa listened to our brief and was patient in arranging and rearranging our itinerary to make our trip feasible." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"My Feb 2014 trip"

I visited Namibia between 20 Feb 2014 and 4 Mar 2014
"I had a great time, thanks largely to Maruska's excellent planning :-). The combination of the fly-in safari and the self-drive trip in central Namibia allowed me to experience a fairly wide swathe of the country, including some amazing animals and birds and countryside, and to try out various hostelries.

I met some very interesting people and also thoroughly enjoyed the road trip on my own. The car went very well and I had no trouble finding my way around. Thank you for providing the map with all my stop-overs marked on it; that was very helpful.

The next trip I plan in Africa, you will be the first people I call. Thanks again!" Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"30 day tour of Namibia by 4x4"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 29 Dec 2013 and 28 Jan 2014
"In general this was perhaps one of the most enjoyable and spectacular holidays we have had. We know Namibia quite well so were partly revisiting places we had seen and liked before and partly filling in gaps to see places we had missed before. We were slightly concerned that we needed to maintain a complicated schedule, our trip totalled just short of 6000km and involved staying at 18 different places so there was obviously a worry about what would happen if for some reason we got behind schedule, but the planning was excellent (thank you Sabina) and everything went as planned without any difficulty. So we never found out what would happen if things went wrong! We felt sure in such a situation we would have been sorted out.

Expert Africa's information was excellent (brochure, website and specially prepared information).

We are very tempted to do similar trips with Expert Africa in future." Read full review: 30 nights in Africa; 25 on a Namibia trip

"Tofts to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 3 Nov 2013 and 23 Nov 2013
"All worked out very well. Toyota Corolla was perfectly adequate, the two passes have new surfaces so no trouble, most dirt roads very good but two sections on Klein Aus to Sesriem corrugated.

Discovered at Solitaire we had lost our oil filler cap but mechanic fixed a temporary repair which lasted for the remaining 2500km.

Disappointed the Budget office in Walvis Bay shut since wanted to talk about the cap.

"Fabulous Namibia"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 20 Sep 2013 and 12 Oct 2013
"Excellent second trip to Namibia where we explored north of Windhoek, covering Etosha and Damaraland. Our previous visit was south of Windhoek to Kalahari, Fish River Canyon and Sossusvlei. Both were equally fabulous for scenery and animals.

It was brilliant seeing the wildlife at the waterholes in Etosha from our car and also at the waterholes in the various lodges we stayed in. The service everywhere in Namibia was excellent and very friendly.

No wonder Namibia has featured strongly for a number of years in the world's top ten countries to visit by readers of the Wanderlust travel magazine.

The garden route in South Africa, following Namibia, was a little tame and too touristy in comparison although it was great seeing whales in the bay at Hermanus. The food and wine in S.A. is extremely good and cheap in comparison to the UK.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

My husband thinks I should be paid for completing this feedback! It was a bit time consuming due to the number of lodges we stayed in over a three week period - it becomes a job to remember them all clearly.

Having said that the trip was brilliantly organised by Gwynneth and we will be contacting her again for our next trip in a couple of years time." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"6 Happy returners to Namibia in 2013"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 3 Sep 2013 and 3 Oct 2013
"Our trip as a whole was superb, from the initial contact with Sabina, to our arrival home.

We had enjoyed our visit so much 2 years ago, that we wanted to return, and see more. this could well have been an anti climax, but fortunately it wasn't. None of us have any regrets.

We noticed the effect of no rain for more that 2 years, very little greenery anywhere.

The unmade roads were in a bad condition, which we were told was due to the increase in large tourist transports.

The people, the accommodation and the food were as wonderful as we expected. Thank you Sabina for putting such a great trip together for us.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

A little caution is required when driving from Dolomite to Okaukuejo, especially in a 2x4 car. We were warned, by a frequent visitor, of very deep tyre ruts, at the start of the most direct route. We took the slightly longer southerly route (an extra12 Kms), which was fine.
We were also warned of the extremely large Anteater holes in the roads, some were 2 feet wide & 18 inches deep. Many could be seen, if driving at a sensible speed, as they had pile of earth beside them, but others were not visible until nearly on them! They need to be avoided, or the car would get stuck, and you could do serious damage!

There were none east of Okaukuejo." Read full review: 30 nights in Africa; 24 on a Namibia trip
