"The only place in Opuwo, and fine"

1 night Arrived 5 Aug 2019
"We stayed at Opuwo Country Lodge, which also seemed affected by the harsh and dry conditions in Namibia at the moment. Dust everywhere, but clean rooms. The road up to the lodge hilltop looked like something that was a lie. It was in a very bad condition surrounded by dead trees and shrubs. It was strange afterwards to relax on the edge of the fine infinity pool in this "troubled" city. Nice restaurant given the location but medium quality food not matching the price tag." "Opuwo Country Lodge experience"

1 night Arrived 10 Jun 2019
"Entrance area at gate needs to be tidied up to make it look more attractive as well as better signage as its not until you drive through this area and around the back of the hill that this beautiful lodge is revealed. Amazing views and good service.

We didn't do any drives so saw no animals." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 5n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"An unexpected gem"

1 night Arrived 21 Jan 2016
"We only used Opuwo as a staging post en route to Epupa (and on the way back) and we were pleasingly surprised (as so often in Namibia) by the unexpected very high quality of this Lodge. Opuwo itself is not very attractive or interesting but the Lodge is located on a hilltop with superb views from its terrace over its "infinity" swimming pool.

The main building is claimed as the largest thatched building in Namibia - probably one of the largest anywhere - and looks unusual and very attractive. We felt the food was some of the best we had sampled anywhere during our one month trip - they have really good chefs.

We looked forward to our second visit when returning from Epupa and were not disappointed." See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia; 10n in Rwanda; 1n in Kenya; 1n in South Africa

"Opuwo Country Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 29 Apr 2009
"The Lodge has a good location. Reception staff were friendly but the lodge does not have a personal feel and the main lodge staff were not very attentive. The standard room was clean and comfortable and had a good view.

There are not many other options for accomodation in this area but if there were, I would try them next time rather than return to this lodge which I found a bit souless." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia
