"A comfortable camp for eastern Etosha"
Our room was large, simply furnished and with comfortable beds. It being June, we didn't sample the swimming pool, right next to the waterhole." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

Very attentive service. Wonderfully warm welcome.
The guide-book said the rooms were 'spartan'. If this is spartan, I'll go for that every time!
Superb restaurant location overlooking the waterhole." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
"Beautiful lodge, excellent service"
The watering hole and overlooking deck were beautiful, and the rooms felt both comfortable and luxurious. We had such a wonderful time having drinks on the deck, observing wildlife as the sun set, and the food was excellent. Onguma is certainly on my list of places to return to, and I hope to see Mattheu and Max again!" See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia
"Blue crane"
Waterhole is new and close to the camp so not well used, either because it is new or too noisy. It was great to eat meals and watch what game there was though.
No opportunity to drive around Onguma in your own vehicle so we used the camp as a base to explore the east of Etosha and went back into the park." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia
"Onguma Bush Camp review"
The room was just OK, but the grounds were quite lovely, with a great bar where you can sit and have a drink and watch the watering hole and sunset." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia
"Onguma Bush Camp review"
The rooms were great, the food was equisite and the service fantastic. Definitely one of the best places we stayed and conveniently located for the east of Etosha where we had fantastic lion sightings at Chudop waterhole." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia; 4n in Zambia; 1n in Botswana

Food very good quality, in a beautiful restaurant round an open fire. Two lounges and a lovely verandah made for a lovely place to relax at the end of a day in Etosha. A lovely touch was that while we were at dinner, a bedtime story was put in the children's rooms." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia
"The Fort at Fischer Pan"
WOW ... we felt like we had stepped into Abu Dhabi - we were met at the entrance by staff dressed in Arabian style clothes, offered rose water to wash our hands and then led through the 'gate' to an amazing view out over the plain.
Everything about this lodge was first class - our 'bungalow' was equipped with our own fire place (which, at your request , they will light for you in the evenings), the canvas screens lift so we have an uninterrupted view of the plains from our bed , or should we have decided to move outside, we could relax on the balcony or have an outdoor shower and watch the animals.
All meals are served in the main building where we over look the watering hole and the staff await attentively. Dinner is available from 7pm and whilst we were there each table had one staff member allocated so we were ensured continuous service. The chef comes out and introduces himself and explains the menu - and then you are treated to a 5 star gourmet 4 course meal ... and we were here for 3 nights !!!!
We had chosen to take our own morning game drive but as there were not many people at the lodge - we were asked if we would mind only having a limited breakfast as they did not want to have to bring all the food out just for us ... luckily we were still full from last night ! Having said that - the beautiful marinated figs with yoghurt and muesli was more than adequate at 5.30am
Everything about this location was amazing - the staff were exemplary in the attentiveness and professionalism.
The only :( is there are mice in the rooms !!! We weren't warned to keep any food etc packed away in the fridge so spent the entire night awake as we listened to the mice nibliing & rustling away. The Manager of housekeeping did come and try to catch it - but to no avail. The next night bait was set out but still to no avail - the mice proceeded to nibble through my husbands shaving gel and a box of juice in one of the bags that I didn't even know was there." There were a wide variety of wilds birds flying around the grounds, and there is a small waterhole just outside the fenced area where we saw many impala and zebra as we ate breakfast.
We had a family room for the 2 of us. A private lounge area, a large bedroom, and a bathroom with a bath. Just wonderful." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 2n in Zambia
