"Mushara Lodge, Edge of Etosha"
Mushara was our 2nd lodge from where we went on safari. After quite a long drive we were welcomed with a cool drink and hot towel before being shown to our beautiful rooms. After settling in, we went for dinner which was excellent, and soon after our deserts, all the staff emerged from the kitchen singing. They proceeded to sing a number of songs, very tunefully and really had fun doing so, much to the enjoyment of all the diners.
Having had a busy few days, we decided that we would have a relaxing morning at Mushara and then head out on one of their tours in the afternoon. It was very relaxing sitting in the grounds by the pool, and amusing to watch the ground squirrels chasing each other around.
After lunch we boarded one of the trucks and headed the 10km into Etosha. Before long we arrived at the first waterhole and were delighted to find a herd of 25 elephants along with giraffe and other animals. Driving round the waterhole we parked up by the track the elephants headed down so they passed us only a few metres away. We then headed off to other water holes and saw lots of other animals including a rhino. One of the advantages of going with a guide is that they are in contact with other guides and before long, we were directed to a cheetah resting under a tree. Our guide was also very knowledgeable about the animals and birds and was able to answer our questions.
The dinner on the second night was again good and the following morning we were sorry to be leaving Mushara, but eager to head to Okaukuejo Camp via a day's journey through the Etosha national park." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

The service was chaotic with no-one apparently in overall charge especially at mealtimes.eg having been asked when we wanted breakfast when we arrived there was no table for us, not being asked preferance for food at breakfast and the buffet arrangement such that you had difficulty getting to the food. Also the bar bills etc had to be signed for at the end of evening meal, which meant you had to wait for them to be produced rather than leaving when we were ready. This seemed to be for the convenience of the staff not the guests." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"One of the Best"
Our room was large, very attractive, stylish and well equipped with lovely comfortable beds. Free wi-fi in the public areas. The tariff works on a half-board basis as most people staying there are self-driving and spend the day in the National Park. However they also offer guided safaris into the park at extra cost if you don't want to drive yourself. There is a good pool and very nice public areas. Accommodation units are detached and well spaced for privacy.
Food was good. We stayed in 13 different lodges during our month-long trip and this was one of the very best. Highly recommended." See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia
