Golden Weaver Fly-In Safari

A rustic, adventurous week on safari with great community involvement that offers incredible value for money in two very different locations – the Amboseli and Maasai Mara ecosystems.

Golden Weaver Fly-In Safari: Summary

Golden Weaver Safari in a nutshell

A safari in East Africa can be costly but this week in Kenya offers fantastic value, yet wonderful wildlife experiences, by using simple, down-to-earth tented camps with great guides.

The introduction to your safari begins in the Amboseli region, known for its varied birdlife and substantial elephant population, including some of the last remaining "big tuskers", with the backdrop of the iconic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro just over the border.

Selenkay Adventure Camp is located in the private Selenkay Conservancy just north of the park, where you can combine game drives with walks, night drives and a visit to a Maasai village. The important connection with the local community is authentic, positive and prevalent throughout the experience at camp.

Following your time in Amboseli, you’ll arrive into another private conservancy in the famed Maasai Mara ecosystem. With some of the highest densities of wildlife anywhere in Africa, you can expect action-packed game drives and the chance to see big game in the relative peace and quiet of the conservancy. Spending your nights in the rustic, yet comfortable, dome tents of Ol Kinyei Adventure Camp, you’ll be fully immersed in the bush in the most traditional way – with a real sense of safari adventure.
