"Kicheche Bush Camp review"
More convenient to game drives than the Serengetti with better roads and shorter grass throughout. The freedom to go off-road because it was a conservancy also significantly enhanced the accessibility of the animals.
The guide was great at finding fairly large groups of animals such as elephants and hippos. The experience of eating breakfast in a lush valley surrounded by 20+ elephants was magical.
We did get stuck twice but other cars were there in only a few minutes to rescue us." See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania; 7n in Kenya
"Kicheche Bush Camp review"
There was a real attention to detail and everyone did a very good job coping with the unexpected rain, including flooding that limited some travel and required the camp to host people temporarily who were unable to get to their own destinations. They were excellent in responding to guest needs, managing water bottle, dealing with dietary needs, and arranging for terrific bush breakfasts and sundowners in addition to the regular buffet lunch and sitdown dinners at camp.
Our guide Benja was first rate, somewhat reserved but extremely capable, easy to understand, responsive to our interests, an excellent driver who had to cope with some pretty bad conditions, including becoming stuck in the mud at one point and having to arrange a tow from another vehicle sent out from the camp.
Benja was creative in finding ways to follow a family of cheetah that were having trouble finding a prey, finally succeeding on our last day. Thanks to Benja, we also had several encounters with a large group of lions, with a number of playful cubs. We saw a very wide variety of birds, a couple spring hares, and several different kinds of antelopes." See all these reviews: 13n in Kenya

And yet--boots in place, umbrellas at the ready, everyone carried on. It made it into an intense, beautiful, often exhausting experience.
Our guide deserves super kudos for driving us through super challenging conditions (and we'll never tell that he did get stuck one morning), all while spotting wildlife with ease. A real master." See all these reviews: 13n in Kenya

The Kicheche branding was visible in the fixtures and ethos of the camp.
Another excellent camp. Good staff. Good guiding.
Some exceptional sightings including the most prolonged leopard encounter we have had.
Also really big herds of elephant, zebra, topi. And lots of lions!" See all these reviews: 20n in Kenya

"Kicheche Bush Camp review"
Our guide Josphat was excellent. We were a bit disappointed to be put with another couple in the vehicle, as we had been on our own everywhere else. However it worked out well as they weren't big photographers so we all had enough space for photos (I have two cameras with big lenses).
The only thing I would do differently next time is to have shorter game drives in the morning so that there is more downtime. We were pretty much safaried out by the end of our stay. Six hour drives was a bit exhausting. Maybe slightly longer in the evening eg 2x 3 hrs.
Also some local specialities on the menu at each venue would be nice." See all these reviews: 12n in Kenya

The food and beverages were excellent - a variety of choices and excellent food. They made it a point to accommodate any special requests there may have been. Abraham prides himself on his Masai Tea - as he should! Do try it! Many choices available for cocktails and tea time as well.
Tents were comfortable and had all the amenities needed. A bit more rustic than the first camp in Mara North, but still very comfortable.
The last night we pulled into camp, we were treated to a tribal greeting and dance. There really aren't words to describe this warm, enveloping experience they shared with us. A few tears of gratitude and awe were shed that evening - being able to be a part of this was beyond my wildest dreams." See all these reviews: 11n in Kenya
