"This was our first stop on the trip. We arrived in the middle of a month of unprecedented rain (due to El Nino) and flooding that severely impacted road travel. Our original camp was inaccessible, so we were re-directed to Esirai. The tents were very clean but very basic as is typical for a migration camp - not what we had signed up for.

The staff and management were highly aware of this and did everything within their power to make the stay as amazing as possible, including purchasing extra park passes to make sure we went to the best places. ALL staff were terrific. Very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

Our guide was top notch, absolutely one of the best we have experienced in Africa and exceptional at finding animals despite the flooding, damaged roads, and other difficulties.

The upside to this relocation was that we were in the middle of the migration so we were exposed to thousands more animals than we might otherwise have seen."

"This was not a typical experience, and it was not the camp's fault at all. Due to abnormal (El Nino) weather patterns that led to unprecedented rainfall and flooding in what was supposed to be the "short dry" season, getting to and from this camp was a harrowing experience. To get in and out of camp, we needed to cross a very flooded river that had no bridge.

The roads were severely rutted and muddy. The grass was so long that we needed to travel over an hour to find any wildlife. On the upside, it is absolutely a lovely place and lovely setting once we got there.

We were the ONLY people at the camp for the few days we were there and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was outstanding.

In a normal dry season with shorter grass, I would highly recommend this camp as it is without a doubt the BEST place to see cheetah."

"Great camp with fantastic staff. Very attentive to our needs and went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

More convenient to game drives than the Serengetti with better roads and shorter grass throughout. The freedom to go off-road because it was a conservancy also significantly enhanced the accessibility of the animals.

The guide was great at finding fairly large groups of animals such as elephants and hippos. The experience of eating breakfast in a lush valley surrounded by 20+ elephants was magical.

We did get stuck twice but other cars were there in only a few minutes to rescue us."

"This camp was in transition because the camp manager was on vacation so there was a little bit of disorganization at the management level.

Other than that the wait staff was spectacular and the food was the best of the whole trip.

Our guide was SUPER knowledgable and informative.

The accommodations were excellent and the variety of animals we were able to see made it a very special part of the trip."
