My Jan 2024 trip
Tanzania and 1 other country between 16 Jan 2024 and 1 Feb 2024
The camps they helped us choose were great and checked every box on our wish list for animal sightings.
One note is that when we were redirected to a less expensive camp because of conditions, the process for getting a refund was awkward."
Feedback response
We were so pleased that these guests had such great wildlife sightings and an excellent trip, despite the wet weather! Due to unprecedented El Niño rains in the Serengeti in early 2024 these travellers were unable to access the first booked property in their itinerary and were instead hosted for a few nights at a sister camp. This camp was simpler in style and at a lower price point. As this change was out of our travellers’ control, we were of course very happy to refund the cost difference when their trip was finished and after our partners had updated us with the details.

Esirai Migration Camp

The staff and management were highly aware of this and did everything within their power to make the stay as amazing as possible, including purchasing extra park passes to make sure we went to the best places. ALL staff were terrific. Very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
Our guide was top notch, absolutely one of the best we have experienced in Africa and exceptional at finding animals despite the flooding, damaged roads, and other difficulties.
The upside to this relocation was that we were in the middle of the migration so we were exposed to thousands more animals than we might otherwise have seen."
Balloon Safari over the Serengeti

Food and champagne after was good and fun. Pricey add on to trip but worth it.
Very early start to get to launch site and takeoff at dawn.
Olmara Camp
"Olmara Camp review"
The roads were severely rutted and muddy. The grass was so long that we needed to travel over an hour to find any wildlife. On the upside, it is absolutely a lovely place and lovely setting once we got there.
We were the ONLY people at the camp for the few days we were there and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was outstanding.
In a normal dry season with shorter grass, I would highly recommend this camp as it is without a doubt the BEST place to see cheetah."
Kicheche Bush Camp
"Kicheche Bush Camp review"
More convenient to game drives than the Serengetti with better roads and shorter grass throughout. The freedom to go off-road because it was a conservancy also significantly enhanced the accessibility of the animals.
The guide was great at finding fairly large groups of animals such as elephants and hippos. The experience of eating breakfast in a lush valley surrounded by 20+ elephants was magical.
We did get stuck twice but other cars were there in only a few minutes to rescue us."

Other than that the wait staff was spectacular and the food was the best of the whole trip.
Our guide was SUPER knowledgable and informative.
The accommodations were excellent and the variety of animals we were able to see made it a very special part of the trip."
Friendly staff who greeted us promptly on arrival.
Food was good."
