"My Aug 2024 trip"

I visited Zambia between 17 Aug 2024 and 3 Sep 2024
"From the initial conversation with Claire Scott as we framed the itinerary to the end of the trip, the service from Expert Africa was faultless.

The deep understanding of what to expect at each camp from having had first hand experience by visiting makes a lot of difference and is a differentiator from some other companies that offer an extremely wide range of trips with 'experts" covering many countries.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No, despite racking my brains before answering!" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 15 on a Zambia safari

"This was our first time using an agent as we typically like arranging our trips ourselves but we couldn't have managed without the Expert Africa team on this occasion.

We had a wonderful time in Zambia and Malawi and the whole trip fitted together seamlessly.

There was one minor mix up made by the staff in our hotel in Lilongwe which Lucy immediately sorted out with the hotel to get us a partial refund." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari

"Zambia safari experiences, 2024"

I visited Zambia between 5 Aug 2024 and 20 Aug 2024
"A superb trip, staying in three locations, offering variety and the opportunity to do something a little different in remote areas of Zambia.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service: The feedback form is thorough but takes ages to complete!!
Otherwise, there’s nothing that can be faulted." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

I visited Zambia between 3 Aug 2024 and 11 Aug 2024
"Experience as a whole was fine. Great - not brilliant.

As mentioned, the area is sparse in wildlife so, although it is realistic to have to search out game, I've been on other safaris where the finds were more exciting." Read full review: 8 nights in Africa; 6 on a Zambia safari

"My Aug 2024 trip"

I visited Zambia between 2 Aug 2024 and 14 Aug 2024
"It wasn't my first time at any of these camps, although it had been a while since I had visited a couple of them, but I had a great time at all of the camps.

One thing that has really impressed me about Robin Pope and was particularly noticeable on this trip is how flexible they are able to be to take into account all the guests' preferences. As a solo traveler, at some other camps I often feel at the mercy of other guests and I've often been told "it depends what the others want to do", but at Robin Pope the mantra is "we'll make a plan". When different guests in a vehicle wanted to do different activities, they always seemed to be able to make it happen without fuss, even if it meant bringing in another guide from another camp or swapping guests around.

Similarly, they were very aware of guests' wildlife viewing preferences and very proactive about suggesting options like all day drives, or extended drives or early starts in response to information about specific sightings. I always feel like the game viewing is number one priority at RPS! They were also very flexible about offering the option of having the canopy on or off the vehicle, and happy to put it on or off as appropriate." "Megan did a great job from start to finish - plus was very supportive when I and my checked bag got separated at Jo'burg airport! (please take a spare set of clothes in your hand luggage - I'm really pleased I followed that advice) - apart from the 'bag issue' everything ran like clockwork throughout.

Have to say Tours Africa were excellent as in country support too.

Zambia & SLNP were great and I'm sure I'll be back and Megan will be my first point of contact!" Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"My Aug 2024 trip"

I visited Zambia between 2 Aug 2024 and 13 Aug 2024
"This was the second time we have used Expert Africa to organise a safari to South Luangwa and I could not fault the service we received. Amanda was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and accommodated our quite complicated arrangements with patience and attention to detail.

The company they use to facilitate all the pick ups and transfers (Africa Tours) were faultless.

We (a family group of 10) chose to stay at Flatdogs camp (the second time we have been there and hopefully not the last). Flatdogs is the most magical place, perfect location along the Luangwa river, beautiful accommodation, fabulous food, superb guides, lovely staff.

The owners, Ade and Jess could not have been more accommodating and made our stay very special. Thank you." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari

"Another fantastic trip to Zambia! All of the connections went smoothly. I had been to all of the camps except Shoebill Island before, many times, so I knew I would be happy there. This was my fist visit to Bangweulu Wetlands, and quite surprised as to the uniqueness of the area's landscape and land use. I was happy to have been able to see a shoebill in the wild and to visit the African Parks Shoebill Program." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 19 on a Zambia safari

"Return to Zambia 2024"

I visited Zambia between 21 Jul 2024 and 5 Aug 2024
"We very much enjoyed our second trip to the Luangwa Valley and saw the leopard that had eluded us last time.

If you want a more active safari (ie walking) that looks at the large animals and the little insects, with knowledgeable guides and relatively little chance of seeing other people, we would strongly recommended Remote Africa Safaris." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari
