My Aug 2023 trip to Namibia

"It was and we were extremely happy with the itinerary and everywhere we stayed.
We had a terrible beginning due to flight cancellations and Chris McIntyre was very proactive and set up a WhatsApp group with the team (thanks Tracy too) over a weekend to advise us. They came up with another plan, liaised with our hotels, booked us new accommodation where needed and rearranged a day trip. It was the best service we've ever had from a travel agent.
It was our third trip with `Expert Africa and we are already thinking about the next one!"

Due to flight delays, we arrived late but they accommodated us by taking us on the full tour in the afternoon/evening (it's usually early morning).
The whole experience was excellent and we enjoyed sundowners before returning to the lodge.

"Warm welcome. The apartment was lovely, well equipped and spacious with great sea views.
We went to the guest house for breakfast which was excellent.
Just need to make sure that the day trip company knows whether to pick you up at the Guesthouse after breakfast or from the the apartment - we had a bit of confusion but it was all resolved."

Brilliant tour. we were lucky to have Bruno who is an exceptional guide with amazing knowledge about the local area as well as being very well informed on a whole range of topics!
The dunes were spectacular and we enjoyed a fantastic lasagne lunch at the top of the highest dune.
Impressive driving skills too!

We all loved this. Eco-Marine were lovely and really care about the local environment and animal welfare.
The seal pups come into the water to interact with the kayakers and were so playful. We had several seals jump on and hitch a ride.
They gave us a simple but lovely lunch. A great day out - our daughters loved it.

"Amazing location with 360 degree views.
The communal areas were lovely with a spectacular outlook. The staff were great and very friendly.
The food was fine on the first night and then the BBQ on the second night was great. We enjoyed singing from the staff - impressive harmonising!"

"We had a brilliant time here.
The rooms are very high spec and spacious. The staff were great and so attentive - they all knew our names which is impressive. The food was great too.
The best thing by far is the watering hole and hide. While we were there we saw at various times a herd of elephants and a pride of lions by the watering hole and we got within a metre or two of them by going into the hide.
Our guide, Jason, was hugely knowledgeable and great company. He took us on a walking approach to two white rhinos - we were within 3 or 4 metres of them - a fantastic experience."

"Beautiful camp around a watering hole.
The tents were very comfortable. The reception and dining areas were great.
The general staff were lovely but we had some issues with the managers who told us that all the activities were booked up for two days (although advance booking is not needed) . We had to complain strongly in order to get on the drives etc. In the end we could do everything we wanted to due to cancellations however, it left us with a negative feeling as the communication at the start was not great.
Our guide, David was energetic and knowledgable and we enjoyed the drives that he took us on - we saw an amazing amount of wildlife including a leopard eating its kill up a tree, rhinos, lions etc all on one drive."

"Perfect last night before going to the airport.
Friendly welcome, lovely big rooms with a great view. The leopard tracking was great fun and we got very close to a leopard which was awesome.
The facilities were good - it feels like being in a high-end field trip centre. The food was fine but not brilliant.

"Our stay at Jongomero was brilliant.
The location is beautiful and remote. We saw no vehicles from other camps and had a genuine remote bush experience but with luxury tents.
Our guide, Giovanni, was brilliant with impressive tracking skills and was very informative. He was good humoured and fun with the kids. We saw large numbers of animals and especially elephants and enjoyed bush breakfasts by the river which was full of hippos.
A magical experience all round."
