"A very special place. Well run and they put the elephant welfare first. The staff were friendly and great at answering questions. A childhood dream ticked off the bucket list.
It felt amazing to support them and the elephants/ rhino in their care." Read more about this whole safari

"I had been dreaming of a visit here for years and I was not disappointed!
I think it would be fair to warn visitors that if they are in the front row they will likely be splashed with mud.
We certainly did get splashed but I considered in a baptism of sorts and have no regrets." Read more about this whole safari

"After visiting Nairobi Nat'l Park we went to Sheldrick's Wildlife Trust - an elephant sanctuary and orphanage.
We met twenty-one elephants and Raha, the young black rhino. The elephants are fed in two groups based on their age. The elephants weren't really interested in interacting with the crowd (after being fed) but the keepers tried to entice them with small tree branches, so you could reach out and touch them.
The elephants are kept at the sanctuary until they can be taken to Tsavo East Nat'l Park and introduced to a new herd. The process takes many years, but the organization has successfully rewilded over 300 elephants. After the feeding, there is a little shop where items are offered for sale and an opportunity to donate and "adopt" an elephant or rhino. Raha the rhino stole the show as she is so cute. She followed her keeper all around as they bathed and dusted her.
While the visit was crowded and a little commercial, we enjoyed ourselves and would visit again." Read more about this whole safari

"We paid a premium to have a private visit. Well worth it, even though it was only for an hour.
We were on time but had to wait for about 10 minutes. Edwin greeted us and escorted us to the feeding area. After giving us information and instructions the babies arrived for feeding. It was fun watching them run to their caretakers for their bottles. It was a hot day so they really enjoyed the mud bath.
We were warned we'd get splashed with red mud but the babies were too interested in playing with each other so thankfully we didn't get red mud on our clothes. We also saw Raha the baby rhino and Maxwell the blind rhino.
Well worth the private fee." Read more about this whole safari

"Excellent activity if you like to see baby elephants (and a baby rhino!) fed, they're playful and if you arrive early enough to be in the first row you'll see them from real close.
You can tell the center cares for these orphans, and their program to reintegrate them in the wild is stellar.
Highly recommended." Read more about this whole safari

"Sheldricks was fun to visit.
To be able to walk in amongst those amazing beasts, to touch them, especially the babies.....my husband played tug of war with a youngster and the branch it was trying to eat.
Roha, the baby Rhino, incredibly adorable, especially the way he suckles on the caretakers pants. I was told he only does this to green pants, which is the color the caretakers wear." Read more about this whole safari
