"A trip to remember"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 9 Nov 2008 and 21 Nov 2008
"This was really the experience of a lifetime. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip from start to finish. Lake Manze was just what I was looking for from a safari experience and Shooting Star Lodge was the ideal place to go to relax and enjoy the sun afterwards.

There are two VERY minor points to do with travelling. The driver from Kearsley who picked me up from the airport did not know what time I was to be collected the following morning to be returned to the airport. The driver was waiting when I got to reception in the morning, but it would have been good to know the time in advance. Also, Coastal Aviation tranferred me from the domestic to international terminal on my return, which was very easy, but it would have been good to know that this would happen in advance.

Suggestions for improvements:

The website is excellent with a great deal of helpful information to help in planning the trip. When trying to select a hotel in Zanzibar, however, the lack of clear pricing made it quite difficult to establish which hotels would be within my price range. Claire was very helpful when I phoned to ask her advice, but I had initially discounted being able to book at Shooting Star Lodge because the website pictures suggested that it would be well outside my price range.

The information booklet was great with lots of very helpful information for trip preparation.

I would definitely used Expert Africa for booking a future trip. Thank you for all your help." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

I visited Tanzania between 8 Nov 2008 and 19 Nov 2008
"The trip was good and well organised. Unfortunately we were both `under the weather ` slightly due to a cough bug so probably didnt enjoy it as much as we should but that is life!!

It was certainly lovely seeing all the animals in the wild and appreciating how everything is inter related in the survival there.

Suggestions for improvement:

Perhaps a smaller hotel which is more personal in Dar would be nice especially after the good service we received at the camps etc." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 10 on a Tanzania safari

"An amazing Tanzanian safari experience in Selous & Ruaha - better than we could possibly have hoped for. Zanzibar is overrated - would not return there." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"Big value for money"

I visited Tanzania between 1 Nov 2008 and 14 Nov 2008
"I got more than expected, and it says a lot. The level of informations were of a very high standard before departure and the service at the camps and on game drive was excellent.

It was not very but at least 110% satisfactory." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"Better than we dared to hope"

"A thoroughly magical experience - the best holiday we have ever had. We fell in love with Africa and the African people that we met.

Suggestions for improvement:

None. Anyone we met who had dealt with Expert Africa (in particular Claire) was delighted with the whole experience." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"A great holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 13 Oct 2008 and 29 Oct 2008
"We look back on our holiday as a wonderful memory. It was certainly all we had hoped it would be, and felt that our wishes had been well understood and catered for.

Suggestions for improvement:

The only thing that springs to mind is to stress to clients the importance of having proper reef shoes for this kind of holiday. One doesn't appreciate how sticky the sea bottom is at low tide, and many people only have flip flops, which are disastrous.

Thank you for organising such a stress-free and enjoyable holiday!" Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 9 on a Tanzania safari

"Si' s feedback"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 11 Oct 2008 and 29 Oct 2008
"I'm a terrible winge. Thea thought it was all fantastic & is now depressed. I got a couple of bluebottles off Echo which was educational. So did Andy which cheered me up, except mine wouldn't go down. Off Unguja it was like swimming through clouds of used condoms which were also a bit pricky, so I got spots on my spots. Elies gave me some anti histomine which calmed them down a bit. Also my guts gave out. Luckily everybody else was on honeymoon so mozzies were no problem. Up in Selous we copped some bad patches of tetse which came up very nicely & set off my jelly stings to perfection. Luckily these have all lasted quite well & Ive been able to show the girls in the office. By chance I read the blurb on Rufigi so we shot round Stone town pillaging the cash machines. A suitcase of Tshillings just about covered our bill at Rufigi but we were not prepared for Madze to be back in the 50s too & we just scraped by with a mottly mix of currencies. Richard was not happy. & neither was I. I hate paying real money. Not that Tshillings is real money. When I was a lad you could get a tusker for 3 bob, at Madze its 8124." "Unforgettable!!"

I visited Tanzania between 18 Sep 2008 and 28 Sep 2008
"We had the most amazing trip.

Expert Africa lives up to it's name. Expert in the help and advice we were given when planning this trip. Expert in booking and making all the necessary arrangements, which went very smoothly, and expert in picking out superb camps for us to stay at. We are not quite sure how we got an upgrade at Sand Rivers, but thank you anyway, it was wonderful.

We had the pleasure of meeting and spending some of our game drives at Mwagusi with Marushka and Peter, who were on a fact finding trip for Expert Africa. We hope that we were able to give them some of our impressions of Mwagusi at the time." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 9 on a Tanzania safari
