"Olive Exclusive review"
1 night Arrived 3 Oct 2011
"We got upgraded from the Olive Grove to a new Olive Exclusive Premier Suite, open only 2 months. The suite was very spacious and luxurious. The food and service were excellent.
As we did not stay at the Olive Grove we cannot grade aspects of the Olive Grove." See all these reviews: 20n in Namibia

"Upon arrival at Olive Grove we found out that we had been upgraded to The Olive Exclusive.
Mike and Carol were very welcoming and the hotel is gorgeous! The hotel is full of stone, wood and lovely, subtle colours with many beautiful photos and sculptures in the lounge and in the suites. The massive granite coffee-table has to be admired!
The suite has a supremely comfortable (and huge) bed. sofas, dining table and small desk with laptop and internet access provided. It also has a Nespresso coffee/tea station and a well-supplied mini-bar with prices that are the same as those that are the main bar. There is a large balcony that overlooks the hills. I recommend the wicker chair for reading in.
The small pool and sunbeds are comfortable and secluded.
We had already booked dinner at Joe's so Mike arranged a taxi for us.
The dinner / lunch menu looked lovely and the breakfast has to be seen to be believed. After the first course which you have to see to understand there are a variety of choices for your cooked breakfast. We had the scrambled egg with avocado and bacon which was perfect.
Mike and Carol manage this delightful boutique hotel with charm, humour and skill. I can not think of a better way to finish a trip in this extraordinary country!" See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia

"Received wonderful upgrade to hotel suite, which was extremely beautiful and luxurious with artistic African decor. Very friendly personal attention and a delicious dinner and breakfast.
Was a bit hard to find as a road was closed. Probably not suitable for people with bad knees as lots of steps.
A really wow factor to start our trip." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia; 8n in Zambia; 2n in Botswana

"The Olive - (Exclusive)"
1 night Arrived 22 Sep 2011
"We were upgraded and put in the new premium Olive hotel. I have no idea how much this cost (originally and if we had not been upgraded), but whatever it was - it was worth it. The room was stupendous...
We ate dinner in the hotel as well and the food was exceptional. Highly, highly recommended.
Very good location for getting to the airport in the morning...wish we'd stayed longer." See all these reviews: 6n in Namibia; 6n in Botswana

"We were given an upgrade to a suite in the newly opened sister hotel. Absolutely fantastic.
Doubtless done so that we could report back to you! or is that a bit cynical? Anyway it was much appreciated." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia; 6n in Zimbabwe

"We stayed one night at the Olive Grove at the start of our Namibia trip - our second stay, one having alos overnighted there at the end of our holiday in 2008.
The Olive Grove is a very comfortable but unpretentious guesthouse with easy access to central Windhoek for restauarants etc - although it does serve light lunches and excellent limited-choice 3 course dinners (currently NAD230) for those who, like us, just want some R&R.
The 11 rooms are large and cool and well-equipped, although the grey decor and stonework is starting to be in need to some maintenance (a new hotel under the same ownership has recently been built on adjoining land, which have been a distraction!).
Staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is internet access in the lounge. Good use has been amde of the limited grounds, with some very comfortable sunloungers and a small plunge pool. There is enclosed car parking for self-drivers.
The Olive Grove remains continues to be a pleasant interlude at the start or end of a Namibia holiday." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia
