"Another wonderful camp and another great guide.

Took a trip to Etosha reserve but really preferred our camp and it's environs...Loved the fact that the scenery, habitat was so varied at each of our 3 camps. Food here was best of the 3 camps" See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana; 1n in South Africa

"Ongava Tented Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 26 Sep 2013
"We stayed at a few camps run by Wilderness Safaris, including this one. They were consistently well run, with good staff, facilities and services. We went on 3 game drives from Ongava Tented Camp and were thrilled to see lots of lions, elephants, all kinds of antelope, giraffes, zebras, and a few white rhinos.

We drove through Etosha on our way from Ongava to Onguma Camp. We really enjoyed our day and saw an amazing number of elephants. It you like watching animals close up, the waterholes in Etosha are wonderful. But we appreciated staying at lodges outside the park so we could go on evening drives." "Ongava Tented Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 20 Aug 2013
"Very much of a safari experience down to the armed escort taking us from our tent to dinner after sundown.

Personal, friendly and attentive staff across the board. Great viewing of rhinos and lions in this reserve including nightly visits by the rhinos to the waterhole.

Safari guides will take you to Etosha but it makes for a significantly longer drive. Excellent food and lively meals. Luxury tents." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 1n in South Africa

"Ongava Tented Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 20 Aug 2013
"The Ongava Tented Camp was very enjoyable because the water hole is so close to the coffee shop and lobby of the camp that it was so wonderful to watch the many animals drink and have a taste of the blocks of salt.

The Camp was specially enjoyable because the husband and wife managers, were so fun to talk with. The people involved in running the Camp were very helpful and cheerful." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 1n in South Africa

"Ongava Tented Camp was fabulous.

The staff have a way of making you feel like you're the only guests there. Activities were excellent and it afforded us our best wildlife spotting, rhinos and lions, of the holiday.

Exhilarating to hear lions roaring next to your tent!" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Ongava great lions and rhino"

2 nights Arrived 23 Jul 2013
"We arrived at the reserve gate to be asked what sundowner drinks we wanted on the evening game drive: a good start! We could not get to the camp because the road was blocked by a pride of lions lazing on the sand; eventually rescued by a safari jeep. 30 minutes later we were seeing our first rhino! We saw 10 white rhino in all, all close up and including 4 when we went on a early morning walk.

Expert guides Leon and Festus. Nothing seemed to much for them or camp manager Elizabeth. They also had Wilderness Safari staff inspecting while we were there, also very friendly.

Fantastic location overlooking well frequented waterhole, although with lions close to camp we had to be escorted at pre-arrranged times after dark and once in your tent you did not open the door.

Comfortable accommodation but our donkey boiler had sprung a leak so our room had no hot water for the 2 days which they did not seem to have noticed. It would be good if they could use solar power rather than burning wood. A very sociable camp where we all ate together at large table overlooking waterhole. The animals made this another highlight."
