"Mushara Bush Camp review"

1 night Arrived 14 Aug 2012
"The camp was beautiful and the accommodation well appointed, with lots of attention to detail. Well managed, with friendly efficent staff. For example, we had two large chairs placed on the deck outside the tent, and a smaller one for our son.

Dinner was lovely (the wine was very nice) although we thought it was a bit odd (as it was billed as being a child friendly place) that if you didn't want the set menu for your child you needed to pay extra for a child's meal. It was a fairly challenging meal for a 5 year old - feta and beetroot tart, followed by oryx.

We didn't feel as if we were in the wild in Mushara. There was a fair bit of noise from car engines and people, and not so many birds or animals. We were staying at 4 of the national park camps inside Etosha after Mushara, so didn't go on the game drives or into Etosha during our stay at Mushara. If you only stayed outside Etosha, I think you'd miss out a bit - no being able to walk at night to the waterholes." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Warm and friendly staff and a nice cosy feel to the lodge. Very close to the park gate so is a good alternative to using the park accomodation if you want some personalised service. You would however have to forgo the night viewing at the waterholes. Staff singing after dinner was again good fun." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Mushara Bush Camp review"

1 night Arrived 15 Jul 2012
"The Mushara Bush Camp was a welcome stop after the drive through the Etosha Park. It looks like it is also a good base for visiting the northern-east part of Etosha.
The rooms or tents are lovely and have everything you need. We arrived in the late afternoon and so didn't do much. The dining area was beautifully decorated and the food and service were also excellent. There were some families with kids who were well entertained." "Mushara Bush Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 14 Jul 2012
"This was a lovely place to stay, however our door blew open with the high winds overnight and it was not possible to secure the door latch so that this did not continue to happen, so we had to keep waking up to push the hook fully back down into the catch. We were the only guests to experience this as I heard some other guests mention that their door also flew open over night!

Could I suggest that the management look to have a more reliable method to secure the door?" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

2 nights Arrived 21 Jun 2012
"What a lovely place to stay. So much thought has gone into the design of the complex.

Beautiful rooms, the best shower of the trip, and hot water bottles in the bed !

The lounge area is attractive, spacious and comfortable.

The staff were friendly and helpful and very proud of their hotel and the food was superb." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Wonderfully relaxing"

1 night Arrived 2 Jun 2012
"Only 3 tents occupied and only 1, very well behaved, child. So we found it very quiet and relaxing but it may not be in the high season. If we returned to Etosha we would spend more time here.

We would particularly like to note that we found Victoria, who appeared to be in charge at the time, a very impressive hostess." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Boma eating at Mushara"

2 nights Arrived 10 May 2012
"Good location just outside Etosha alongside a couple of other Mushara accomodations. The rooms are very well appointed tent cabins set in a reserve, where we saw warthog and duikers.

The reception / dining area is open fronted and very well furnished with a large round fire inside it's stunning. We had dinner outside in the boma on the first night which was great, although the quantity of food at the buffet / barbeque did not seem enough for those there."
