"Peaceful cruising on the Chobe River"

2 nights Arrived 29 May 2014
"The houseboats offer a really good way to experience the river scenery and view the wildlife, especially at sunrise and sunset.

The trips on the small tender boats were good, but watching the world go by from the viewing deck of the houseboat was even better." See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia

"great location, good boat"

"comfortable, well resourced boat, excellent food.

Room's toilet cystern took 2 hours to fill and mosquito doors had half inch gap that we had to sellotape up." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe; 3n in Namibia

"Ichobezi houseboats"

2 nights Arrived 27 Nov 2013
"To look out of your bedroom and see swimming elephants and a resident hippo! Very relaxing on the boat. The houseboat moves maybe daily; the tours are all on smaller power boats. And you get a totally different outlook than you do from a land rover.

This was the only place we met bugs - non-biting (probably flying termites), and swarming around the lights in the evening, but still annoying.
Crew was great.

We went in Nov; it was quite hot outside, and *very* hot in the bedroom (there is a fan, which accomplishes little). There is no A/C! I'd be concerned about doing this in the heat of the summer, but in the cool, it is wonderful." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe; 2n in Namibia

"A must for any visitor to Namibia"

3 nights Arrived 29 Sep 2013
"Another repeat for us. 2 years ago we had 2 nights, this time 3, neither were long enough!

We were lucky to have 2 of the crew members from our previous visit, Martin, the guide, whose knowledge of wildlife is second to none, and Eustace, the chef, whose skills leave us speechless. Larry, our skipper from 2 years ago, came to the boat to greet us.
Our skipper this time, Ben, was charming. he and his crew made our stay very memorable.

We were very lucky to see Leopards, male, female & a very young juvenile. (hours of patience and good quick eyesight are needed, for the guides & the guests). This family of 'cats' really performed for us.

We spent 2 hours at Inchingo Chobe River Loge, while waiting to go the airport, where the owner, Ralph & his staff looked after us superbly" See all these reviews: 24n in Namibia; 2n in South Africa

"Different way to see the Chobe"

1 night Arrived 18 Sep 2013
"Very different experience with a look at local fishermen at work without feeling intrusive.
Liked having own dedicated boat and guide for transfers and excursions.
Service on the houseboat was excellent. How did they share out all the work? Cabin small but spotless, if a bit hot, and bed very comfortable." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Relaxing way to tour Chobe Riverfront"

1 night Arrived 15 Sep 2013
"Really nice way to see Chobe Riverfront and very relaxing.

Only had one night so activities were limited. The staff are very knowledgeable and always able to help you identify the bird you just took a picture of.

The game excursions on motorboats is also a nice way to discover the park.

You're on a boat so the rooms are smaller but still very comfortable." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Great water based time on Ichobezi Houseboat"

3 nights Arrived 28 May 2013
"Four spacious well equipped cabins, large dining/lounging/viewing area, up to four tender boats for close up viewing and fishing. And a professional attentive crew of five to cater for all needs.

The food, prepared on board by a dedicated chef, was quality restaurant standard.

Although late May is not supposed to be the prime time for game viewing we had no lack of animals or birds to keep us constantly entranced. We even managed to catch a few tiger fish." See all these reviews: 7n in Botswana; 4n in Rwanda; 3n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Fantastic experience on Ichobezi Houseboat"

3 nights Arrived 28 May 2013
"Coordinator on board Ernest made everything run like clockwork, was very knowledgable about the area and did everything in his power to make our stay a memorable one.

The guides were very knowledgable especially about the bird life . They did everything possible to ensure we experienced everything on the Chobe River while always seeking our input to ensure that they were meeting our needs. Guides Martin, Morgan and Vasco.

Chef Vincent prepared excellent food and even prepared a birthday cake for one of our group.

We were quite surprised at the quality and variety of food given the obvious limitations on the boat and cooking for a different culture." See all these reviews: 7n in Botswana; 4n in Rwanda; 3n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe
