"Nice lodge in "safari Ibitza""

2 nights Arrived 20 Aug 2019
"This was a nice lodge with kind staff. Unfortunately, we started the trip one family together with a very loud south European "family group" that totally dominated the boat trip (game watching). For every animal (including cows) the shouted "bambino bambino" and jumped around in the bout (despite the captains orders) and took photos. They did not care, that we were in the boat as well trying to enjoy the nature and peaceful scenery. That was a terrible start on this visit to Serondela. At arrival, the manager promised we would not have more excursions together with the large group, but his staff tried to send us on the same boat back after our visit.

Speaking about peaceful, Chobe National Park is "safari Ibiza", boats everywhere crusing on the river, including several "floating hotels". When you see an interesting animal on the shore, it´s accompanied by 3-4 safari cars. We did not really like this part of the place and have perhaps been to many other good places to appreciate the easy access to animals at Chobe.

We had a nice excursion the a nearby village, not tribal, thus perhaps even more interesting after seeing many himba and bushman villages earlier on." See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Back to nature at Serondela Lodge"

2 nights Arrived 8 Jul 2019
"Fantastic location, wide open landscape, amazing views in all directions, no other lodges anywhere near us, (including outside our front door one morning!), herds of buffalo, loads of hippos, lots of other game in Chobe national park.

Great sundowner cruise - lots of birds, hippos, giraffes and a whole herd of elephants cross the river beside us. The lodge has a nice laid back vibe and you really feel quite close to nature. Everyone very friendly and it was great to have the local rangers as our guides on the river trips.

Can also highly recommend the game drive in Chobe national park." See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe
