"We saw a group of 5 white rhino and had lots of amazing animal sightings. The roads were very bumpy, but that added to the fun of exploring.
It was raining for most of our visit, but that meant we had closer animal encounters, as they weren't hiding in the shade. Our guides were knowledgeable and the bird life was fantastic." Read more about this whole safari

"We did not see many of the big 5 here but, as we already had seen them all at Ol Pejeta, this was more of a bonus game drive.
We did see ostriches and a serval cat, neither of which had been at our camp.
The number of jeeps and minivans there made us glad we had spent the majority of our time at a small conservancy." Read more about this whole safari

"This was a real surprise, so much wildlife, so close to the city. I wouldn't do it at the end of a proper safari, as it doesn't compare, but it was a great "taster"."

"The novelty here is that the park is right in the middle of the capital - definitely an unicum.
It's definitely worth braving the early wake-up call and starting early: in our experience we mostly saw animals only at the very beginning (i.e. 6.30am or so).
Very lucky at the beginning - we saw a couple lions from up close and a family of rhinos just snoozing off - it tapered off later on, although we were still lucky to see a giraffe and a rhino crossing the road just next to us. Plus a variety of birds and ostriches.
In short: if you're in Africa to do safaris in proper natural reserves, this won't impress you. But it's a good "soft intro" to safaris while being effectively in town." Read more about this whole safari

A morning game drive gave us a chance to rest before starting our main trip." Read more about this whole safari

"We enjoyed the game drives in the park, but it was more limited than our other experiences in Laikipia and Masai Mara.
Our one lion encounter was with a somewhat underfed group of three males.
We did manage to see a genet and a bush baby, which was fun, and we had a nice sundowner on the edge of a small lake with hippos and crocs." Read more about this whole safari

"Since this is my first safari, starting in Nairobi National Park is perfect--enough animals to give me a sense of what was to come and yet not overwhelming.
I felt like learning the baseline here was very helpful for the more intense locations we went to next." Read more about this whole safari

"We chose Nairobi's Park for our first game drive after we arrived in Kenya, just to get a taste of some wildlife before setting out on safari in the bush. It exceeded our expectations!
In spite of the proviso that wildlife sightings would be slim unless we started at 6am, we decided on a late start (9am) due to jet lag. Lucky for us, this was not the case! We had close-up encounters with lions, rhinos, zebras, gazelles, impalas, etc, etc, and at least 50 ostrich!
We had a wonderful Southern Cross guide, Alan, who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the animals and conservation in general. This was a great way to start our adventures in Kenya!" Read more about this whole safari

"Fantastic. weather was drizzly and cool the first few hours there, but made for a different look, and good pics without the sunny glare. park appeared to be in good shape, staff at the gate was efficient and friendly to my guide. definately recommend others to take a drive and see the park."
