"This is a lovely hotel with a real old school charm. Staff were simply fanstastic. It's hard to comment on the location, as I don't know Nairobi well, but having asked, we were advised not to walk too far away from the hotel. I imagine that's normal for Nairobi.
The pool and sauna etc were great and the breakfast was amazing."

"This is one of the most special places either of us have ever been to. Landing on a grass airstrip, with giraffe and zebra either side of us was a real surprise for us.
The welcome was on another level, our lodge was beautiful and the setting right on the lake is truly stunning - with impala racing through the garden and hippo munching on the greenery in the lake, right in front of us.
The food was stunning, with a great variety every night.
I can't say enough about the staff. Our personal waiter Elias was just fantastic - I don't thing I've known service that combines such efficiency with such genuine warmth. Bek did an amazing job as our guide, but in truth all the staff were impeccable and so so friendly. What a welcome to Kenya this was. We simply loved it and we were very sad to leave.
As so many have said, the only thing we would change would be to stay longer - I would also consider staying here after the main safari element of a trip, as it's so relaxing. If we did that, we'd focus less on the game drives and more on the lodge itself, the pool and the lake!"

"Safari Wild is a wonderful place. We really felt like we were in the bush, with nothing but the Masai warrior guards keeping us from the wildlife - we absolutely loved it.
The vegetarian food was a little hit and miss a couple of nights, but feedback was acted on very quickly and generally the food was great. The breakfasts out on safari were a highlight.
Our waiter Michael was lovely, as were all the guides, guards and management.
We were really glad we went for a private conservancy, as the proximity we had to lions etc was just incredible - and there were very few other trucks vying for space. The fact that we could be off road at all times seemed like a massive advantage - and we also loved the night drives (particularly when we saw lions and a leopard (separately) with their prey, at night).
We also met some really fun people at Saruni, that we'll stay in touch with.
Not surprisingly, the four days spent here were the highlight of our trip - and the tip may well be the best holiday we've ever had.

"Water Lovers is a lovely place and on arrival, we were given a great welcome - it was now time to relax!
The sandy area within the hotel is a great place to relax and it felt essential to have that at Diani.
The food was fantastic, as were the staff.
I would say the only downside is that when we headed out to Diani town, or onto the beach itself, the atmosphere wasn't 100% relaxing. It wasn't a surprise, but there was a lot of pressure to buy trips, or souvenirs etc. We understand this entirely, and we cannot fault the people themselves, at all, but it does mean the beach itself, and the town, is not so relaxing."
