"White Sand Villas, a Zanzibar paradise"
3 nights Arrived 10 Aug 2023
"We were fortunate enough to stay at a villa in White Sands and let's just say that the room shattered all expectations. Luxury bed and bathrooms, rooftop sunning area, separate living and dining area, private pool, hammocks, etc. You will want for no creature comforts staying here.
And the dining and guest experience is great, particularly when they hold poolside events with live music and such. Very memorable!
The beach is true to form. White sand, soft, almost like kitchen flour underfoot. Note that this isn't Hawaii, you'll have random locals passing on the beach trying to sell you trinkets and experiences. The property has security who work hard to keep this to a minimum, but be prepared for an unexpected conversation or two with someone selling their wares and mastering the art of politely declining.
The menu of activities is expansive, and given our limited timetable we couldn't take up most of them but the snorkeling was certainly memorable and a story we share to this day.
Ultimately this was our relaxation post safari, and our young daughters favorite stop of the trip. So if you're looking for sun and sand you're going to have a great time here." See all these reviews: 8n in Tanzania; 8n in Kenya; 3n in Zanzibar

"White Sand Villas review"
4 nights Arrived 22 Jan 2023
"What isn't there to like?? Sheer luxury and a great way to relax after a safari.
Staff were friendly, helpful and the food was just superb.
The accommodation was amazingly spacious and private and the private pool was much appreciated as the sea wasn't quite so good for swimming." See all these reviews: 8n in Tanzania; 6n in Zanzibar

"extremely nice villas"
4 nights Arrived 13 Oct 2019
"We loved our villa and white sands to relax after a tyring week being on safari.
It was perfect.
The beach villas are so provate with an amazing view.
The only little little thing is that the maids and staff in general just enter the room without knocking or checking. We felt this was a little bit intrusive." See all these reviews: 8n in Tanzania; 7n in Zanzibar

"Zanzibar White Sands review"
7 nights Arrived 21 Feb 2016
"The villas are beautifully designed, and include locally made wood furniture. The grounds are really nicely landscaped. We stayed in a 1-bedroom beachfront villa with its own pool, separate living villa, and a shaded upper deck above the air-conditioned sleeping villa. The landscaping is designed in such a way that we had lots of privacy but easy access to the beach with our own thatched shade and loungers.
The service was very good - the staff were very friendly and willing to do anything they could to help make your stay better. We asked for an extra chair for the upper deck to enjoy the beach views and watch the moon rise, and one was quickly brought over.
The food was very good and always included a fresh local fish dish. The beach is a fantastic stretch of white sand. The tide does go out a long way so having our own pool for a cooling swim was a real luxury.
A great place for a relaxing end to a holiday. We would highly recommend a tour of the Seaweed Centre in Paje to see how the local mamas farm seaweed - a good source of additional income for them.
Beachfront villas 3,4 & 5 are further from the kite centre & more private." See all these reviews: 15n in Rwanda; 9n in Zanzibar
